Object: Where Republicans come from
In Jesus' day, a tax collector was called a 'Publican'. Being a
Publican was seen as a corrupt and dishonorable profession, and the
reason is because the Roman government allowed tax collectors to keep
anything they could collect beyond the actual taxes. In other words,
Publicans often made people pay for more than they actually owed, and
then then kept the excess.
As the Roman empire disappeared, so did the Publicans. But, in time,
fragments left from the Romans evolved into a new empire, the American
Empire. With it, Publicans returned as well. They became known as the
Republicans.
Jesus condemned this and urged publicans to be fair and just. He even
welcomed them when they came to him. On one occasion, an important
publican named Zacchaeus decided to follow Jesus. Jesus forgave his
sins, and in return Zacchaeus promised, "If I have cheated anybody out
of anything, I will pay back four times the amount" (Luke 19:8). He
became the first Democrat.

In those days, humanity had been breeding domestic
animals for many thousands of years, even tho they knew
nothing about genes. Among the first genetically
domesticated animals were dogs and sheep. Those that
did not bite, or had long wool and herded easily, etc,
were allowed to breed, the others were not. The
independent dogs were killed, the "bad" sheep were
eaten before they could breed.
Thousands of years of brutal feudal kings had the same
effect. People who were happy to perform tricks for
table scraps off the wealthy King's table did well.
The hoards who sank to their knees in worship when saw
great wealth, or marched off to do the King's plunder
were similarly rewarded. The independent thinkers
became knights and generals. Their survival rate was
not as good as the weak-minded peons, for a king could
survive without knights, but not without his slaves,
and knights were expensive to keep, but peons were
better than free, they paid kings to protect them. So
not only did the rich kings and priests (often the same
thing) feed them, but made laws to encourage breeding.
Laws to keep these royal and priestly families in power
caused inbreeding and moral/mental decreptitude. The
hoards came to see those as great symbols of power, and
tolerated, -- even worshiped these forbidden
characteristics in their rulers.
That is where Republicans come from. And nobody had
better dare try to take those things away from them.
It's genetic.
