Why did Demo's nominate a Klansman to the USSC? |
Which party nominated and confirmed avowed racist and KKK member Hugo
Black to the Supreme Court? The Democrats. Nominated by Franklin
Roosevelt(D) confirmed by a democrat controlled congress on a near party
line vote. Alben Barkley(D) was Senate Majority leader at the time.
