Why the War in TexIraq has made us all less safe |
Bush's insane military adventure has finally
produced the opportunity for Al Qaeda in TexIraq that
Bin Laden wants.
Before the invasion there were no Al Qaeda in Iraq,
We traded with the Iraqi's, they were no military
threat to us.
Now Al Qaeda have ridden the recent revulsion against
abuse of Iraqi's to commit anotehr of their own acts
of barbarous cruelty, executing an American.
How has this new opportunity for Al Qaeda been creatred,
making us all less safe, but particularly endangering
every Westerner in TexIraq, as it sinks further into
anarchy, criminal violence, and now, Bin Laden's terror?
Even before the recent revelations of systemic abuse
of Iraqi's by USSA regulars, I wrote of the dangers
in creating hatreds where none previously existed,
which seems to be the only outcome of the war in
Texiraq. A little over a year ago our government
traded with Iraqi's, and they had no reason to
fear, hate or attack us. Now we watch a mounting
anger at us, so intense that even the most rabid warmonger
is forced to realize that we are now LESS Secure,
and terror is being FOSTERED by the TexIraq fiasco.
Those of us who condemn ALL terror, and ALL torture
are not surprised that those who sought to excuse
abuses by Coalition forces ONLY condemn the violence
of criminal thugs, and then try and hold ALL Iraqi's
responsible for it! And yet the Iraqi people have
no government controlling their country, they have no
forces under their control, THEY ARE AN OCCUPIED
PEOPLE, THE USSA IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CHAOS AND
ANARCHIC CRIMINAL VIOLENCE which is now endemic.
And their blundering and inept policies have actually
REDUCED our security, and created NEW hatreds, new
groups of angry and agrieved victims who are potential
recruits for terror.
What is now absolutely clear, with the execution
of an American by masked men representing no country
is that ANY assault on Human rights, ANY weakening
of the Geneva Protocols, reduces the protection for us all;
# "But far more serious is their suspension of the Geneva Convention
# by defining captured prisoners as 'illegal combatants', which has set
# a precedent for similar abuses of coalition prisoners. 8^o
#
# For example, the American captured in the attack on the military
# supply convoy from Baghdad to the illegal Fallujah massacre,
# does not appear to have a great future, as one of the mercenary
# army which blurs the distinction between civilian and soldier.
# When the USSA has hired killers in military roles, but not in
# military uniforms, all western civilians face much greater anger,
# and much greater risks."

"Mr Berg, a businessman from Pennsylvania who had
been missing in Iraq since mid-April, was
decapitated with a large knife by a group
of masked men that do not represent any country,
according to US news reports." - The Age 12/5/2004
I wind it incredible that some people try to
compare the acts of abuse by soldiers of an
occupying army responsible for order, with
the barbaric cruelyty of criminals who represent
no one but terrorist gangs.
The Iraqi people are certainly not resposible
for Bin Laden merciless minions, but we are
responsible for our government's actions, and those
of it's troops, especially when they have created
the environment where Iraqi's are now beset with
violence, chaos, anarchy and Al Qaeda terrorism!
"The family of the American contractor beheaded
in Iraq have strongly criticised American officials
over the chain of events which ended in his murder."
All contractors were in great danger due to the
USSA policy of blurring the distinction between
military and civilian by it's use of mercenaries,
and by it's claims that 'illegal combatants had
no human rights, but once the photos of abuse
by Coalition forces were released, that danger
was clearly magnified.
Those responsible for the chaos in TexIraq,
for the arrival of Al Qaeda and it's renewed
strength because of the outrage over torture
of Iraqi civilians, must be accountable for
the consequences of their War Crimes.. a spiral
into barbarism.
"They claim their son might be alive if he had not
been held for nearly two weeks by Iraqi police and
they were angry at the lack of information from the
US government about his detention."
Their congressman, Republican Jim Gerlach, said
after visiting Mr Berg's parents that they had
been frustrated by lack of information from the
US government when Berg was detained without
charge by Iraqi police from around March 24
until his release on April 6."
The TexIraqi police are under the control
of the occupying forces, the same forces that
have fanned new hatred, and allowed Al Qaeda
to become active in Iraq!
This marks the most catastrophic failure
of the invasion of TexIraq.
"Had he not been detained for so long it's
quite possible he would have made it back
to the US," Mr Gerlach said, adding that
Berg had missed a plane flight because he
was incarcerated"
Why were the USSA's puppet police holding him?
How did he come to go from detention by the
occupying power to being an Al Qaeda captive?
