GOP pollster: Bush admin. may be 'over'
A prominent GOP pollster says White House attempts to boost President
George W. Bush's approval ratings may have come too late.
Lance Tarrance -- a main architect of the Southern Strategy that the
Republican Party used to expand its political power beginning in the
1960s -- recently told a Washington audience the Bush administration
"may be over," The Washington Post reported.
"By and large, if you want to be tough about it, the relevancy of this
administration on policy may be over," said Tarrance.
A new poll by RT Strategies -- a firm Tarrance heads with Democratic
pollster Thomas Riehle -- shows that 59 percent of Americans disapprove
of Bush's job performance, while 36 percent approve.
Tarrance said Bush's approval rating barely exceeds his party's base
support, and half of all adults surveyed said they "strongly
disapprove" of his performance.
Bush's disapproval rating among independents is 73 percent -- and
two-thirds of that number said they "strongly disapprove."
The poll, conducted April 27-30 -- after Bush named a new chief of
staff, budget director and press secretary -- found that 48 percent of
respondents said they would prefer Democratic control of Congress.
Thirty-seven percent said they preferred Republican control.

Hopefully there will emerge a new power in party politics this
Fall...GREENS???
Then the GOP can die the quick death due to Bush and the
world-wide-Big-Oil-Military-Industrial-Complex have exposing corruption
about themselves and their control of the crooked Republican party...
Crooked From Top To Bottom!!!
It would take at least a generation for these filthy rich crooks to
corrupt the next dominant political party... (at least that is our hope
and prayer) and this time we might be able to push them back even
better than FDR did....
Hoperfully we will not have the world wide war of Hitler that Bush
seems insistant on starting...
IMPEACHMENT IS VITAL FOR THE HOPE OF MANKIND.
