Dems & Repubs: Worst of Both Worlds |
So we had an election in which We The People clearly indicated we want out
of Iraq, posthaste, by replacing repubs with dems; and what is the result so
far? Not only are we getting the same vague promises of partial pullouts
some year or more from now that we have been getting for a couple years
already, but they are actually talking about increasing troop levels! That
is betrayal.
With dems now in control of Congress what else are we getting? More illegal
immigration! Wall Street and corporations are doing fine but what about we
the people? Real wages are down as jobs continue to disappear in the high
wage manufacturing industry and reappear in the service industry: are we to
become a nation of low paid, world class, servants? Wages are in a race to
the lowest bidder with lots of desperate illegals from other countries
competing. The dems want to make the illegals legal.
Just who is the dem/repub hegemony representing, serving? US or some
imaginary world class society of equality and justice in their heads? (With
a privileged Oligarchy to administer it of course.) Or just the wealthy who
can buy them expensive dinners, exotic trips, and elections?

Correction: Only 40% of registered voters. Not even REMOTELY close to We
The People.
That is betrayal.
Betrayed by Democrats!?!?!?!

Of course it is, and since they serve the same interests,
that's what you'll continue to get until you do something real about
it.

Bush gave "stand down" orders to the border guards to make
sure they did nothing to stem the flow. The corporate elite want
illegal immigrants to drive down wage standards, first in the border
states and then for that to spread.
You COULD of course, force congress to pass a law that no
illegal can be paid less than an American would be paid for the same
job, or make sure existing laws are upheld, but then you'd be one of
the "terrorists" that the Total Information Awareness System and
Patriot Acts were really designed for, wouldn't you?
