According to the Associated Press, Congressman Reynolds' spokesman confirmed
that (New York Republican Congressman and chair of the National Republican
Congressional Committee Tom) Reynolds had been informed by another
Congressman that the boy had complained about Foley's inappropriate
communications 'months ago,'" the press release continues. "It appears that
Reynolds did not tell authorities about the emails or take any step to
discipline Foley, apparently choosing instead to sweep the matter under the
rug to protect the Republican party's dwindling chances of retaining control
of the House of Representatives this November.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Rep. Thomas Reynolds, head of the House Republican
election effort, said he told Speaker Dennis Hastert after learning a fellow
GOP lawmaker sent inappropriate messages to a teenage boy.
Reynolds, R-N.Y., was told months ago about e-mails sent by Rep. Mark Foley
and is now defending himself from Democratic accusations that he did too
little. Foley, R-Fla., resigned Friday after ABC News questioned him about
the e-mails to a former congressional page and about sexually suggestive
instant messages to other pages.
The boy who received the e-mails was 16 in summer 2005 when he worked in
Congress as a page. After the boy returned to his Louisiana home, the
congressman e-mailed him, and the teenager thought the messages were
inappropriate, particularly one in which Foley asked the teen to send a
picture of himself.
The teen's family contacted their congressman, Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-La.,
who then discussed it with Reynolds sometime this spring.

Gee, I wonder why would the GOP leadership would provide cover for a known
pedophile and sexual predator? Couldn't be that winning at all costs is more
important to the GOP than protecting our children from sexual predators,
could it?
Just exactly what is all the fuss about? See for yourself. Here, you can
find copies of some of the emails Foley sent a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD BOY,
provided by the boy's parents:

ABSTRACT:
....the authors found that participants scoring in the bottom quartile on
tests of humor, grammar, and logic grossly overestimated their test
performance and ability. Although their test scores put them in the 12th
percentile, they estimated themselves to be in the 62nd.
