Keep the masses distracted from the real issues. That's why you never
hear about the kids who get thrown out of their homes all over the US
and end up prostituting themselves to some perverted 40 year old man
to survive, or the guy who is getting his face smashed in with a rifle
but half way around the world during an interrogation session, or
families getting fucked over left and right by the systems that are
supposed to help them, or the ever growing rich-poor divide. If they
talked about stuff like that, people would wake up and demand the
heads of those on top for letting these atrocities happen. Nah, better
talk about puppies and Spears instead.
