Before the Gulfwar 1 started the oilprice was about 25 dollars a barrel.
Now it is about 50 dollars a barrel.
Who celebrates these figures?
Who suffers?

It's interesting that you mention this. Around 1974 the price of oil,
corrected to the inflation was a little bit lower than the prices we
see today. Is that inflation too? Of course not!

No, and it will only get more expensive! We are nearing the peak of oil
production and afterward, it will get ever more expensive to get it out of
the ground.

In some cases the oil prices at the pump were higher decades ago ( not
always but at some times) but then that diminishes your argument, eh?
Including that voting against Bush is a good idea even though that
Democrats poo-poo his idea of drilling in America in which we have
plenty of oil here to use if we need it.

It's interesting that you mention this.

Well your learning threads are funny ;) ...we actually see you
evolving in that what you originally posted is now contradicted or
seen from a different aspect of what is the reality - by you.

Around 1974 the price of oil,
corrected to the inflation was a little bit lower than the prices we
see today. Is that inflation too?

No it's called adjustment calculations.
Inflation is a whole different category and the other poster used it
correctly but you have no idea of what you are talking about so there
is no point in further discussing it with you. Inflation is a heavy
subject and not at your level.
However, back to your point: For example, many countries in the EU pay
just as cheap for oil as the US. But why are their prices ...so much
higher? Because they slap-on heavy taxes to the price at the pump.

Think think think and think again before you even
(re)consider voting Bush (thouroughly intertwined

Have any evidence that his voice counts in Geneva? ...then maybe we
will talk - but till then...

It is really not all that difficult. In the 70's of last century we had an
oil-
crisis which was caused by the Israeli-Arab war. Arab countries put
(temporary) sanctions on those countries who were on Israeli side of
the conflict such as The Netherlands.
War and instability in the Middle East have been proven to be a way
to secure high oilprices.
The Bush clique is highly intertwined with the oil industry. They
want high profits and revenues. What better way to do so by causing
crisis in the Middle East.
The oil-price was 25 dollars a barrel in 1989. Iraq had problems with
Kuwait. April Glapsie deliberately mislead Saddam Hussain into thinking
that the USA was to have no opinion in his crisis with Kuwait. Saddam
invaded Kuwait. Big smiles on the faces of the oilbarons in the USA.
Nice war and oilprices increasing. A big succes for the militairy industrial
complex.
At this moment the oil-price is already above 50 dollars a barrel. It's fun
to wage wars right? The few rich have their profits and the masses their
losses, but who cares?
It's the oil stupid! If North Korea had large oil-supplies we would see
a war there. Kim Young Ill is really making WMD as we speak while
there were none in Iraq. Strange huh?
Kind Regards,
Barbarossa

War and instability in the Middle East have been proven to be a way
to secure high oilprices.

If Usama takes Saudi Arabia like he plans on ( i.e. the war of terror)
then he will manipulate the oil prices.

The Bush clique is highly intertwined with the oil industry.

That is there business. Just like Clinton was highly intertwined with
the Chinese military to make Money and proliferate WMD like he did in
N. Korea - not disputed.

They
want high profits and revenues. What better way to do so by causing
crisis in the Middle East.

Is this like the mass media covering up the US nuclear proliferation
(WMDs) by Bill Clinton because they "want high profits and revenues?"

The oil-price was 25 dollars a barrel in 1989. Iraq had problems with

complex.

34 nations were involved so our they all evil? I bet you live in one
of them?

At this moment the oil-price is already above 50 dollars a barrel.

In 1989 the price of milk here was cheaper - does that implicate evil
people in the dairy sector - can you get on this it is a big
conspiracy, ya know?

It's fun
to wage wars right? The few rich have their profits and the masses their
losses, but who cares?

Saddam made the ultimate decision not the 34 nations involved who
countered ;)

It's the oil stupid!

Just like Clinton reiterated "It's the economy stupid." He was
speaking in terms of " who cares, even If I cause the extinction of
the world by sell-off the WMD secrets we have all a good time and lots
of money!" ;)

If North Korea had large oil-supplies we would see
a war there. Kim Young Ill is really making WMD as we speak while
there were none in Iraq. Strange huh?

Blame that on Clinton, the 1994 decision to build them a small nuclear
reactor in which they promised not to harvest plutonium in which they
are doing.
Big Business of the Democrats and Nuclear proliferation is OK with
you, but don't hurt the oil, eh?

Kind Regards,
Barbarossa

Barbarossa's oil conspiracy thread.
When you post you seem to promote that President Bush owns all of
American oil business dealings. To blow your argument to shreds, I
will show you a graph and some data on OPEC. You implied Bush has
these pals in his pocket – he doesn't. If he did there would not be a
thing called K Street Lobbyists.

Even Allawi now ruler of the Iraqi Oil Fields has to lobby Washington
to get oil contracts.

Just thinking of ya and your conspiracies ;)
note:
"If prices go too high, that has implications for the economy. If
prices go too low, that has implications for the Texas producers
because their costs are too high."
Ahhhhh.. Texas? That is Bush so these high prices makes his oil buds
hurt - this blows your theory out the window? Maybe you can send him
some money now that he is losing so much from the high-prices ;)
