Well, most, if not all, of us live in a demcracy with opposing groups of
thought.
Maybe we should nominate (unless someone wants to volunteer!) a village
idiot from *each* side. If each side provides more then a single
candidate we can set up a web based polling page for a week for
participants to vote.
The idiot's job should have an official job description with some perks
such as never having an initial posting being ignored or unreplied to.
A sense of humour is also a prerequisite for this position.
Just a thought.

I think an 'Idiot Election' is what we need. All democratic like, with
candidates from both sides of the political spectrum... the criteria for
being a candidate I believe should be as follows:
- Must have at least 1 year of posting history on APN (qualifies them as
part of the 'village')
- Must be well known to the wider APN community
- Must make outlandish claims, and stick them in spite of overwhelming
evidence to the contrary (no matter the political leaning)
- Must not be a sock puppet (though the sock master is elligible if he can
be unmasked)
If anyone else has any criteria they think are applicable, feel free to add
them...
What I want to know is, what ever happened to Tony 'Stalone'? He'd be my
nominee, but he seems to have vacated the Internet.

BUT, if Mickey D was still hanging around APN, would we be having this

He would be a good choice. Likely my first. Not as offensive as Tony yet
somewhat eccentric with the 'French' stuff. He was OK.
But, Jean will always be the King in my heart tho. :-)
