LYING HIS ***** OFF!!!....Boy, what an embarassment! Slick Willy's now
shamelessly playing Neoconesque Sleaze politics by using divisive
tactics, ie, the RACE Card, and obviously hopes to drive a wedge
between Blacks, Whites, and Women to get that Lying, Power Hungry
*****, Hillary Elected. Unbelievable. The truth doesn't matter to
Billy Boy, anymore than the Chimp. Really disgusting.

Do you know of any other *code* that was not created by an intelligent

molecule. I would never expect that from you.

I didn't say it wasn't complicated douglas, but that it's "evidence"

Fine. You believe *order* evolved from chaos. You believe a *code*
that is more complicated than any software invented by man just
happened by accident. Have you ever stopped to contemplate the odds
against that *code* having happened by accident? Of course you
haven't, because your mind is closed.

It's actually the freaky christian thing to say...'cos you can't come

You're kidding, right? I've got plenty. I'm just starting with this
one, and I haven't proceeded because I couldn't get Wolfy to
acknowledge I was talking about *information* while he was talking
about the container that holds the information.

In the same way as you use "there are evil people in the world

Uh, are those supposed to be my quoted words? I don't recall making
that argument. Or do you have me confused with someone else?

Listen to what you're saying douglas..."there is a god because DNA is
so complicated".

I don't recall saying that either. I don't recall saying I could
provide *proof* of the existence of God. I do recall saying there is
plenty of evidence, and I started with the complexity of the
*information* encoded within the DNA molecule. There is no other
instance known to man in which a *language* -- a code -- came into
existence without a creator. Unless you can show me one?

There is absolutely nothing to support such nonsense.

Makes no difference what I believe douglas. That DNA is so complicated
is not "evidence" that there's a god. It moght 'suggest' the
possibility but it's certainly not evidence.

Fucked if I'm gonna show you anything. Here then is the first instance
of a code coming into existence with a creator. Just because there
isin't another one does not provide evidence that there's a god.

There is absolutely nothing to support such nonsense.

Wriggling Chris, he's a fish who dislikes this hook.
His is a very strange idea as to what is regarded as being evidence.
All that he has so far produced as evidence, is a statement to the
effect that the DNA helix (and I am right to use that full term,
Stephen, it includes the entire helix with attendant information) is
'beautiful' and is' complicated' and is a 'code not invented by man'
Add a quote from Bill Gates (as if that mattered an inch) and you have
what he calls, 'evidence'.
Rocks are quite pretty things too, and they were not invented by man.
Their formation from the material of the Universe is fairly well
known. Stephen forgets that DNA is a new discovery, and that with
time, we will no doubt know a great deal more about it.
The man is unbelievable. It was he who said he could provide
'evidence'. I had to ask him twice before he gave this DNA supposition
for a God's existence.
We know not all that much about the brain either..he might as well say
'the brain is complex and can calculate, therefore that proves there
is a God'.
It is simply not evidence. It does not fulfil the definition of
evidence, no matter how loosely Stephen plays with the words.
Stephen has said he would produce evidence. He cannot do so, and is
now embroiled in trying to justify his rather wild assertion.
Due to his lack of valid points, he resorts to saying that other's
have a 'closed mind'.
Open my mind then Stephen. Show me evidence that fulfils the
definition of the word.

Grins Chris....I've met a few 'filth' like Stephen who 'use' the
arrangement of words in order to strengthen a weak case. Gosh, I must
have been out of the job a long time to call myself by that derogatory
title!
I should explain to the Americans that 'The Filth' is a popular term
amongst certain types for 'The Police'
Keep on recovering Chris. I've lost too many friends over the years to
add another to that list. You never know, I might be able to make that
meeting this summer...I would like that.

Let's just hope he's not a copper eh :-) Imagine having to deal with a
copper who doesn't have a clue what evidence is...o

Just because you have a very narrow definition of the word "evidence"
doesn't mean I have to. Especially when I clarified the definition I
was using before I began. But what the hell, your mind is closed.

The other thread on this subject now contains my summary of how the
discussion stands. It might be more convenient to refer to that one,
rather than to hop from one thread to another.
It's unanimous Stephen. It is your mind that is closed. Mind, you
could always prove that to be not so...you could always say, 'There
might not be a Creator, there might not be a Devine Being' That would
show your willingness to embrace new ideas.
The alternative is for you to exclude that possibility. Such exclusion
will, of course, show that it is indeed you that has a 'closed mind'.

How did this thread get off the discussion of two grasping, clawing,
lying weasels and get into proving the existence of God?
Now we don't necessarily have to prove that Bill and Hill are corrupt,
meanspirited people that will say or do anything to achieve power.
There's lots and lots of history that reveals their nature. They're
human, you can see them, if you're astute enough you can peer into
their hearts and be properly repulsed.
It's a little different with God. God is all revelation and there's
an introduction that's needed. And if you don't or won't see Him,
it's ok. It's up to you. He's obviously not interested in shoving
something down your throat. You should happily live your life.
Without that introduction or experience He isn't seen, there is no
revelation. So there is no reason to argue about something that isn't
seen.
If you've had the experience, and some of us experience every moment
of every day, then we can carry on plumbing the depths of immaculate,
eternal order and structure and all encompassing intimacy and love
without feeling the need to "prove" something. It's just life.
We're all pilgrims here in one form or another. Some don't know where
they're going until they get there. Bon Voyage.

All you have to do is look back through the thread and see who first
raised the issue in this thread. And by the way, oh exalted one, no
one is trying to *prove* the existence of God. In fact, I specifically
said I am not trying to do that.

Yes, a "fine" Christian like you knows how to peer into the hearts of
others. I've noticed that about you -- and you're frequently wrong.

He already has said it.
I can live very comfortably alongside John's way of expressing
himself. Your method is another matter altogether.
I don't imagine you can see why, perhaps for the same reason that I
can't see a God?

Then why did you push me, more than once, for an explanation for my
belief in God? And why were you critical when I did not to go into an
immediate explanation?

So it doesn't bother you that John believes in God, it only bothers
you that I do. You're not interested in asking John to have doubts
about his belief in God, you're only interested in asking me to do
that. I think that's fair.

I'd only carry on the conversation if, after I looked deeply into
their heart, I could see that there'd be an honest and pleasant
conversation. What would be said would spontaneously key off the
chemistry in the encounter.
I don't carry talking points with me everywhere I go.
I don't savor arguing, nor am I obsessed with winning and domination.
I like interaction and chemistry. There are obvious roadblocks to
that if the person you're speaking with doesn't see what you see.

may be questioned, not the act.
