Let me get this straight. The bombers were banned from mosques? For =
what? Peddling porno? It's obvious they had radical ideas. Yet the =
clerics didn't report them to the authorities? I'd say the clerics and =
those in the mosque that were aware of the their radical tendencies are =
accesories to the crime. Muslims need to police their own if they want =
any credibility.

It probably was "shunning", where people are "frozen out" of the
community until they conform to the rest of the community. They also do
that in Junior High and Christian fundie churches.
