Britney went ballistic over hairdo

Britney Spears lost her cool moments before her hopeless MTV Video
Music Awards performance, for she went ballistic at her hairdresser after
having a look at her hairdo for the show.
Sources claim that Britney's rage had reached to such an extent that
she had to be given anti-depressants by her doctor.
"The scene in the dressing room before the show was one of absolute
blind panic. She knew she hadn't rehearsed enough and was going to mess up
the whole show and possibly her career - then she saw her hairdo and it
was the final straw," The Sun quoted a source, as saying.
"She went into a wild rage and started lashing out at everyone -
including her stylist," the source added.
The source further said that attendees at Las Vegas' Palms Casino
resort fetched Britney a doctor, who gave her the prescription drugs.
"Britney took enough to floor an elephant. They calmed her down -
but were clearly too effective," the source said.
The singer's much-hyped come-back performance of new single 'Gimme
More' was severely panned by critics, who branded the act "bored" and
"glazed" as she forgot dance moves and lip-synched out of time.
