Actually, fortunately or unfortunately, Bush will see out his term and I
strongly suspect so will the others you mention.
Sorry, but you'll have to wait for the next presidential election -
which is 2008 if I recall correctly. So another 3 years at least before
you can expect a change. And there is no guarantee a democrat will get
elected.
Here's a hypothetical - will Hillary Clinton run for president or vice
president? If the latter, who will they put forward for presidential
candidate? Any rumours? I think it unlikely they'd try Kerry again.
Will they run Condoleeza Rice against her, as either president or vice
president - who would be her running mate? Any chance Jeb Bush will try
to make it a hat trick?
Rice has two strikes against her - being female and black - at one time
I thought Colin Powell might run for President but that now seems
unlikely.
I'm watching the 'Governator' with interest. As I understand it, under
the present constitution - he can never be president as he was not born
in the US - what are the chances that the Republican controlled houses
might try to get an amendment removing that restriction.

The polls show Hillary Clinton is the clear leader to become the
Democratic nominee -- if she decides to accept it. The VP candidate
will come from the pack of runners-up. Here is a website that shows
various polls covering both major parties.

I don't think either of them will run. Rice has said she has no
intention of running for the presidency. In fact, she has said she
would rather be Commissioner of the National Football League. Jeb Bush
does not seem to be among the front-runners in the polls.

Colin Powell ruled out running for the presidency several years ago. I
don't think either of them want to go through the absolute hell the
Democrats would put them through. The Democratic Party will go to
inordinate lengths to keep conservative blacks from gaining higher
office. For an example, all one need do is look at the way Supreme
Court Justice Clarence Thomas was treated by the Democrats during his
confirmation hearings.

Zero. The process for a Constitutional Amendment requires both houses
of Congress to approve, but not with mere simple majorities -- 67% of
members must vote in favor for the proposal to stay alive. After
clearing that hurdle, a proposed amendment is sent to the individual
State legislatures. 75% of the State legislatures must approve the
proposal, after which it becomes a Constitutional Amendment. There does
not seem to be a great deal of support for such an amendment.

Probably. Can't say I blame them. The Democrats seem to orchestrate
the most incredible witch hunts since Salem.

Hmmm, interesting.

Ok. Perhaps some years down the track yet. I get the feeling that
sooner or later this is going to come up.

It does come up from time to time, but quickly dies out due to lack of
popular support. The process would require tremendous support from both
parties, and I just don't see it happening anytime soon. If it ever
does happen, it will be under a different political climate than the
very contentious one we have now.
