Gov. Calls on KRCA-TV to Kill Billboard
April 28, 2005 -Gregory Solman
LOS ANGELES California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today asked for
Spanish-language television station KRCA to remove a controversial
local billboard advertising the news team as broadcasting from "Los
Angeles, Mexico."
Speaking on the John and Ken Show on KFI-AM, Los Angeles, earlier
today, Schwarzenegger called the advertisement "extremely divisive" in
promoting illegal immigration.
The hosts asked Schwarzenegger to respond to the angry callers to
various local talk shows: "I think they have all reasons to be angry
about that," he said.
