Jellyfish-shaped 'UFO' spotted in Shanghai
By Lydia Chen 2007-6-21
SEVERAL people reported seeing a jellyfish-shaped unidentified
flying object about 8pm in Shanghai on Monday.
A man surnamed Zhu told Shanghai Morning Post yesterday that he saw
the UFO in the sky at the crossroads of Jiujiang Road and Xizang Road M.
in Huangpu District that night.
"It's definitely not a kite," Zhu told the newspaper. "It was flying
quite high."
Zhu said the UFO was a blue-colored object and hovered around the
area for several minutes and then flew away.
He tried to take a picture of the UFO with his cell phone, but since
it was far away the photo only revealed a blurry image of a shiny object.
Zhu said the UFO was spotted by more than 100 people in the area,
but so far, no clear picture of it has been released.
Experts at Sheshan Observatory have not yet responded to the report.
An unidentified flying object was seen above the boundary between
Hongkou and Yangpu districts about 9pm on April 11.
Though many witnesses were convinced it was a UFO - the color of the
V-shaped object changed regularly from red to blue to green and then
yellow - an expert said it was just a night-light kite.
UFOs appeared over Shanghai and its neighboring area in 1987, 1990,
1991 and 1999. They were acknowledged as UFOs as no physics theory could
explain their movement in the air, according to previous reports.

Well, thanks for the entertaining pictorial excursion into jellyfish and
jellyfish UFOs. No, I've been hearing about occasional jellyfish-type UFOs
for decades. Actually a guy named Brinsley Le Poer Trench (Earl of
Clancarty, House of Lords member), now deceased, once thought UFOs were a
form of stratospherically dwelling intelligent animal, possibly
gelatinous, and able to morph into different shapes! Later, he discarded
that theory, and thought they might be dwelling inside the planet, as
humanoid creatures, and responsible for such historical oddities as the
biblical "nephilim." (giants, fallen angels) Once in awhile, unexplained
gelatinous matter falls from the sky, and has been analyzed to include
both animal and human cells. Researchers postulate that these jelly masses
are only the remains of sea or land animals (and some humans) swept up by
tornadoes and mashed around, then dropped as gooey piles. LOL! Ick!
Yet, it is only a theory. No one knows the actual origin of such jelly
masses from the sky, but the cells are from known creatures and humans,
though. Perhaps a few of these jelly masses become electrocharged in the
sky, suspended or wafted around by winds, and emit glowing colors? Many
mysteries, so few answers.
I thought that the popularity of sea and freshwater creatures for food
among Asians might influence their interpretation of an aerial
phenomenon's appearance. heeheehee...can we expect lobster or crab-like
UFOs over China or SE Asia next, or eels, or fish shapes?
Doc :))~

Jellyfish-shaped 'UFO' spotted in Shanghai
By Lydia Chen 2007-6-21
SEVERAL people reported seeing a jellyfish-shaped unidentified
flying object about 8pm in Shanghai on Monday.
A man surnamed Zhu told Shanghai Morning Post yesterday that he
saw
the UFO in the sky at the crossroads of Jiujiang Road and Xizang Road
M.
in Huangpu District that night.
"It's definitely not a kite," Zhu told the newspaper. "It was
flying
quite high."
Zhu said the UFO was a blue-colored object and hovered around
the
area for several minutes and then flew away.
He tried to take a picture of the UFO with his cell phone, but
since
it was far away the photo only revealed a blurry image of a shiny
object.
Zhu said the UFO was spotted by more than 100 people in the
area,
but so far, no clear picture of it has been released.
Experts at Sheshan Observatory have not yet responded to the
report.
An unidentified flying object was seen above the boundary
between
Hongkou and Yangpu districts about 9pm on April 11.
Though many witnesses were convinced it was a UFO - the color
of
the
V-shaped object changed regularly from red to blue to green and then
yellow - an expert said it was just a night-light kite.
UFOs appeared over Shanghai and its neighboring area in 1987,
1990,
1991 and 1999. They were acknowledged as UFOs as no physics theory
could
explain their movement in the air, according to previous reports.

Many young children & adults killed by poisonous jellyfish &

I wonder how the Ching-Chongs knew that a UFO looked like a
jellyfish ?!?
It's not as if jellyfish are all that common in China is it ?!?!?

Well, thanks for the entertaining pictorial excursion into jellyfish and
jellyfish UFOs. No, I've been hearing about occasional jellyfish-type
UFOs
for decades. Actually a guy named Brinsley Le Poer Trench (Earl of
Clancarty, House of Lords member), now deceased, once thought UFOs were
a
form of stratospherically dwelling intelligent animal, possibly
gelatinous, and able to morph into different shapes!
Researchers postulate that these jelly
masses
are only the remains of sea or land animals (and some humans) swept up
by
tornadoes and mashed around, then dropped as gooey piles. LOL!
Doc :))~
