With global warming comes rising sea levels... both from
melting glaciers & thermal expansion...
This means that half or more of Oceana will be gone --
under water -- before the next century. Now, assuming
most people aren't just going to agree to die, the
alternative view is that Australia is going to be positively
swamped with refugees.
Yes, Australia will lose much of its coastline as well,
but they'll still be plenty of dry land remaining even after
of sea levels reach their peak.
Millions upon millions of destitute, homeless & hungry
refugees washing up on Australia's shores... desperate
for survival...
Chaos.
So what, if anything, did Nostradamus leave in his
writings regarding the death of Australia?
Oh, don't get me wrong, the continent will still be there.
That -- and not much else -- won't change.
Indonese alone outnumbers Australia's population by
more than 10 to 1, and it's 88% Muslim.
Can you say, "Kill Whitey"?
They can.

True. I remember when I was younger, around about the time of the Port
Arthur Massacre which resulted in massive changes to our gun control
laws, I was at my friends house and I heard his dad say something along
the lines of: "This means that one day Indonesia will invade, and there
will be nothing we can do to stop them". Such a sentiment was a pretty
big concept to grasp for someone at my age (I was about 10), and it kind
of scared the ***** out of me actually.
However, as I've grown up I've met several Indonesian people, majority
of whom are muslims. I have never once sensed that they have a desire
to destroy Australia, or any country inhabited by feral europeans for
that matter.
Can you say, "Kill Whitey"?
They can.
Some can... it'd be an impossible stretch to call it a general
consensus. But so what? There's a small percentage of psycho's in
every population, and Indonesia is no different.
Relatedly, I'd actually be interested to know what the average land
height above sea level is in Indonesia... I'd wager that most of the
land mass of the main islands (Java and Sumatra) will remain above
rising sea level, even once they peak. I can imagine some coastal
populations being driven inland or to Australia, but it'd would be a
relatively small fraction of the total population. The real influx of
refugees will come from the smaller Pacific nations like Fiji, Vanuatu,
Solomon Islands, etc... the only parts of these locations that will
remain above the rising sea levels are the rocky and jagged mountains,
most of which would be difficult to establish a permanent residence on.
The rest of the land mass of these countries (where most of the people
live) are very close to sea level, and thus pretty much all the
habitable land they contain will be under water in the not to distant
future.
Actually, the recent earth quake that hit somewhere near Japan and
caused tsunamis in the south west pacific completely inundated a few of
the smaller islands in the Solomon Islands archipelago. Several entire
communities are now totally homeless (i.e. there's barely even a sand
bar sticking out of the water where their homes used to be), or worse,
totally vanished.

Very true. Just as true though is that the critical
piece is arable land, of which -- presently -- less
than 12% can be described as such. People can live on
mountains, yes, but a quarter of a billion people?
And that's just Indonesia.
I'm sorry, but if the worst happens there's no such
thing as "nice people." All they'll be is desperate
people & dead people.

Well well. You should feel very comfortable with that. After all, you

isn't it about logistics as well? there simply arn't enough boats for all
the Indonesians to hop onto and move. Also, wht target Australia only? The
asian continant is just as close and easier to get to with smaller boats by
island hopping.
And even if they dont want to "kill" us, and just want a place to stay
1) they will be residents
2) they will have voting rites
3) We will be outvoted
4) They will introduce Shariah law
5) All muslims must preach the Quran
6) if u dont accept it, they can cut of yur head with a dirty great big
sword
7) No more whitey

Don't worry - you can be sure that Australia's humane and considerate
treatment of after all the NATIVE RESIDENT ABORIGINAL people has earned you
the protection of guardian angels - but since they're normally invisible,
you must take this on faith.
Oh, and speaking of an influx of desperate undesireable foreigners,
just how much DOES land in the interior sell for?
