Object: EARTH 'S WOBBLE INCREASING ?!?!?!?!?!??!??!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!??!?!??!!??!
Measurements taken over the past six
weeks seem to indicate a slight increase
in the deviation of the Earth's wobble.
Does anyone else have supporting data?
The deviation from the mean axis was
actually expected to be decreasing at this
time, but the opposite effect seems to be
taking place. The measurements were
collected as part of a geophysical
experiment plotting the position of Polaris
(along with other bodies) relative to two
ground-based reference points. The
amount of the deviation translates into a
shift of ~0.75° from the expected position
based upon projections published two
years ago by the European Space Agency
and re-mapped to the location where the
measurements have been taken over the
past eight months. The error factor for the
mapping can account for no more than
one quarter of the effect noted.

It would be nice to see the new Northpole somewhere in the area
of the White House in Washington! It would mean much nicer and
warmer weather for The Benelux countries. ;-)

The poles are shifting at an increasing rate too. I wonder how that will
affect wildlife that migrates when the pole shift is over in about 500
years.

It's a damn shame that movie actresses are considered over the hill
for sexy roles when they reach 40. What ever happened to Julia Ormond.
Kate Capshaw started acting late. She was great also. Rumors are that
Harrison Ford and Kate Capshaw will be back in a new Indiana Jones
movie soon. I wonder if Kate plays sexy or a mother of a young woman
in her twenties.

Was Sharon Stone in that? Maybe she's over the hill also. Obviously,
the TV I watch leaves out nude scenes. Premium cable would be too
expensive and addictive, plus I don't watch TV on some days.

Demi Moore

Really? She doesn't play roles like in "Ghost". She was the villian in

Kim Basinger

It's not really my bias. Movie studio execs have that bias that is well
known to actresses, lamented by many actresses who have been
interviewed, including Meryl Streep.
Movies are made often to attract the most money. That means appealing
to the 15-30 age group or thereabouts.

Kim Delaney

The name is vaguely familiar

Kim Kattrall (sp?)

Definitely attractive. Doubt she plays the romantic lead in a
theatrical movie though.
TV might be more politically correct.

Susan Dey

Likewise.

Jaclyn Smith (okay she's not acting but is still drop-dead gorgeous,

in

her 50's and has her own line of clothes at K-Mart.)

I saw her do a cameo in a movie. Check her filmography.
Attractive yes; lead in a romance movie, probably not.

Heather Locklear

Valerie Bertinelli

Heck, with cosmetic surgery, Cher probably looks good. Mae West was
sexy in her 60's and 70's. Cher has been in movies, cameos.

This is not a bias of mine especially. Movie studio execs seem to think
they cannot make money using such actresses as romantic leads in
movies. Many actresses have lamented that fact, including Meryl Streep.
It is in their mind as well. To make money, movies are often geared to
satisfy the 15-30 crowd.
Damn Google erased a similar response minutes ago. I must copy all my

Heck with cosmetic surgery, Cher looks sexy. She did at least one cameo
role (or more, supporting role) because of her legendary status,
recently. Even Mae West was sexy in her 60's 70's. Would the younger
crowd buy it, nah.

on to lots of TV and movies including LA LAW.

Never watched an entire episode of AMC. Maybe my mother was a fan.
Well, she might have been around in movies I saw, but I didn't notice
her.
I was a fan of Dana Delaney. I hope she does some movie or TV work. She
had a distinctive style and look, though she's now approaching the
dreaded 50. Ain't so bad for guys. Women hate that number though.

Kim Kattrall (sp?)

Definitely attractive. Apparently the most
experienced in the City TV show. Doubt
she will play the romantic lead in a
major movie though.

[I remember her way back when she did (I think) the movies MANNEQUIN.]
I have a friend who saw that (the first one) a lot of times in a
theater. I remember her from that movie. Strange how a movie like that
could launch a career. Kirstin Dunst became noticed in "Bring It On",
though she was a child star before. "Bring It On" would be in the same
class as "Mannequin", cheesy fun for young people of all ages (men
mostly). Kirstin seems destined for greater heights than Kim.
[Darn! Time to wake the second shift. Maybe someday soon I can post
normally.]
I'll be in lurk mode. My bosses would eviscerate me if they knew how
much time I spent reading apn pre-and-post election. Good fun though.
Got to discuss important topics like tattoos, etc. Yesterday reminded
me too much of those years when I slaved away in apn for nothing other
than the sheer satisfaction of debunking Jean; I'm kidding.
[I would hate to drop out of the all time posters list too. ;)]
I'd say go for the record, but your kids would hate you then.

Always a pleasure conversing with you.

I read your reply Victor.
Too tired to punch all those stinking arrows in or to cheat even with

glad to have this conversation.

Was Sharon Stone in that? Maybe she's over the hill also. Obviously,
the TV I watch leaves out nude scenes. Premium cable would be too
expensive and addictive, plus I don't watch TV on some days.

Madonna

Really?

I personally think she is a beautiful woman. Her big blue eyes make
her, I think. A lot of people really don't think she's pretty, but
when she's *natural* (not all that stupid ***** leather and freaked out
boob cones on her and all that make-up and weird hair.)
Not her back then.
But she is naturally beautiful.

Demi Moore

Of course. Her lips are a little to thin, but she's got that smile,
long brown hair/eyes, and raspy voice. Definitely a beauty.

Really? She doesn't play roles like in "Ghost". She was the villian in
Charlie's Angels second movie. She does keep in shape. When will she be
featured again?

I haven't a clue.

Kim Basinger

Maybe from a woman's perspective. Was good in that cell phone movie.

No way she is beautiful. Look at her lips. Some women actually get
*lip implants* LOL! Imagine that.

Julia Roberts

Intellectual. Age 37. I stated age 40.

Close enough. I'm really talking about the actresses and models that
I view as older.
Julia's an odd beauty. Not really pretty at all when she isn't
smiling; but radiant when she does.

Claudia Schiffer
Kylie Mynogue (sp?)

Never heard of her. Looks good. Age about 37.

Never heard of which one? Claudia or Kylie? You had to have heard
about Claudia so I'll assume you're talking about Klyie.

Uma Therman

Uma Thurman, will be 40 in 2008.

I know but she still seems older to me compared to my generation of
Britney Spears, Christina Augilera, Drew Barrymore, Liv Tyler, Avril
Lavinge, Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie etc..

(who am I forgetting?)

Are all still amazingly beautiful in my opinion.

Okay Kylie and Uma have looks and talent, and are under 40.

So it was Claudia you've never heard of? Oh My! Anyway, yeah,
both beautiful in different ways.

Much much more so than Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

Or not.

In my opinion they are (by far). Britney is *cute* very cute. She
has that adorable smile and that baby face. We're talking beauty
though. Christina? - Why the HELL did she turn her hair black? Nasty!
It's blonde again now, but I think the image she left in my head of
that God awful hair she had going there for a bit can never allow me
to see her as pretty again.

As an example, Kathleen Turner. She starred opposite Nicholas Cage in
Peggy Sue Got Married. Where is she now.

I don't think Kathleen Turner is pretty (sorry).
But Nicholas Cage - love 'em. I don't find him attracive really, and
I most certainly don't have a crush on him like I do with Bruce Willis
and Kid Rock - but there's just something about Nick that I've always
found outstanding and unique.

Measurements taken over the past six
weeks seem to indicate a slight increase
in the deviation of the Earth's wobble.
Does anyone else have supporting data?
The deviation from the mean axis was
actually expected to be decreasing at this
time, but the opposite effect seems to be
taking place. The measurements were
collected as part of a geophysical
experiment plotting the position of Polaris
(along with other bodies) relative to two
ground-based reference points. The
amount of the deviation translates into a
shift of ~0.75° from the expected position
based upon projections published two
years ago by the European Space Agency
and re-mapped to the location where the
measurements have been taken over the
past eight months. The error factor for the
mapping can account for no more than
one quarter of the effect noted.

The wobble is increasing because of the amount of fatasses in North America.
