BREAKING NEWS
12ft snake in high street
By PETE BELL
Sun Online
POLICE are urging vigilance today after a 12ft snake was spotted in
a high street.
The reptile, believed to be a python, was seen at 6am by a road
sweeper in Shoeburyness High Street, Essex.
It was last seen disappearing towards park land.
A police spokesman said: "We believe the snake may be an escaped pet
and we think it is a python, probably from Asia".
He added that the sweeper kept snakes and had experience of pythons:
"so we do not doubt this reported sighting".
He said: "We would appeal to anyone who sees the snake or who has
lost a snake to get in touch".

Isn't it getting rather chilly in Essex for pythons to be slithering the
streets? I'd think they'd pretty slow.
