Fairy Eaten Alive By Giant Tarantulas
LOONEYVILLE, TX -- (AFP) -- Usenet fairy ***** Johnny T.E. Madhatter,
a.k.a., JTEM, was reportedly carried away and eaten alive by giant
tarantulas early today.
Witnesses told local police they saw Madhatter attacked by "several giant
tarantulas" outside his trailer home at about 7am. They said the unpopular
fairy ***** was carried 100 feet into a field and devoured by the huge
spiders. Only some clothes, blood, and his skeletal remains have been
found.
Police said they found "unusual tracks" and a "gossamer material" in the
sandy soil where they found Madhatter's skeleton. The tracks led to nearby
Prospector's Mountain. Police and tracking dogs attempted to locate the
spiders, but were unsuccessful.
"I saw him screaming and kicking as a huge tarantula -- like over 10 feet
tall -- grabbed Johnny and carried him away with some other spiders
following," Spike Sourcum, a roommate said. "It was horrible...he was
crying out, 'Somebody get the Black Flag spray!' "Sourcum added. He said
the spiders were too large to be stopped by bug spray, but possibly
could've been killed with shotguns.
"It happened so fast, we didn't have time to think," Sourcum said. "One
moment Johnny was in his little backyard dancing and swinging on his truck
tire, and the next moment he was being carried away."
Police helicopters are searching the area, attempting to find the giant
spiders' lair.
