Q. Did Nostradamus predict hurricane Katrina and the resulting
devastation of the US Gulf states?
A. No. It is doubtful whether he made any predictions at all about the
USA (though opinions will differ about the unrelated quatrain X.66,
where the word 'Americh' doesn't rhyme and so is probably a misprint).
In fact, he specifically aimed his predictions at Europe, North
Africa, the Middle East and associated regions, rather than anywhere
further afield.

Well, well, well, look at that! The nay-sayer is back! For those
who might have missed his latest take on Nostradamus, let's
summarize it, shall we:
*
Q. Did Nostradamus predict [...fill in the blanks...]
*
A. No.
*
And that's because if you allow Nostradamus to predict even one
thing, you must allow him to predict something else. So, to be on
the safe side, Peter Ewart Britton, a.k.a. Peter Lemesurier, now
prefers to deny any prediction by Nostradamus.
*
As to the subject-matter of this thread, at least one regular
poster to this NewsGroup seems to think that quatrain V-87 might
very well be an indication that Nostradamus was interested in
hurricane Katrina and its aftermath:
*
------------ C E N T V R I E___C I N Q V I E S M E. ----------
------------------ (édition de novembre 1557) ----------------
*
------------------------- L X X X V I I ----------------------
--------- L'an que Saturne sera hors de seruage, -------------
--------- Au franc terroir sera d'eaue inondé: ---------------
--------- De sang Troyen sera son mariage. -------------------
--------- Et sera seur d'Espaignolz circonder. ---------------
*
Although line 1 can refer to more than one occasion when Saturn
leaves Cancer and is thus freed from its astrological servitude,
line 1 does fit the year 2005, as it is one of those years when
Saturn leaves Cancer.
*
Line 2 is tricky if you don't know that Louisiana used to be
French territory (it was sold to the US by Napoleon who was then
in need of cash to finance his wars). Allowing therefore for
Louisiana to be termed a French land, line 2 also 'fits' the
events of August-September 2005.
*
I must confess that I don't have a clue as to what line 3 means,
so I cannot state if it fits Katrina or not.
*
Line 4 can have more than one meaning, but they can all point to
the geography of the Southern United States: these states are
surrounded by Spanish-speaking people.
*
So, three out of four ain't bad.
*
And if you want to understand why the aforementioned Peter Ewart
Britton prefers to state that Nostradamus did not predict
anything at all, it is because Nostradamus' entire prophecy is
dedicated to alerting the good people of Paris well in advance of
the unintended destruction of their most beautiful city on
Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 3:53 a.m.
*
Why should a Briton named Britton be concerned with this?
*
Well, one of the side-effects of this US military blunder is to
kill 3,000,000 people, including the two sons of King George VII
who are then visiting Paris.
*
When this little detail about the extinction of that branch of
the British Royal family was first posted in this NewsGroup many
years ago, that's when we found out -- after the very same
Lemesurier had penned a few books about Nostradamus' Prophecies
-- that it was after all just a big mistake and that Nostradamus
did not really predict anything at all.
*
Call it British disinformation, or Brittish disinformation. Want
some more?
*
It is doubtful whether he made any predictions at all about the
USA [...]
*
Because you see, if Nostradamus predicted everywhere that the
United States of America (which he often calls 'the Great US') is
responsible for the unintended destruction of Paris, denying that
Nostradamus ever spoke of the US at all is one sure way of
denying Nostradamus' entire prophecy.
*
That is also why the idiot from San Diego repeats the very same
thing (he takes his cue from that other leg of the Echelon
triad), the third being taken by the Aussie moron.
*
So, if you are wondering why my articles are systematically
denied here by one or the other of those three, you have your
answer: they must not allow anyone to believe that Nostradamus
predicted everywhere, in all of his published books, that the
stupid US military would commit the irreparable harm of
destroying the capital city of their most steady ally, France.
*
Why do they care?
*
Well, the decyphered prophecy lets it be known that those holding
land in the centre of Paris shall sell it at the very last minute
so as to escape the financial consequences of the destruction of
Paris. As we are talking here of billions of Euros, it is not
surprizing that, from time to time, a scheme is hatched to spread
disinformation about the hidden text of Nostradamus' prophecy.
*
There was a very famous one, back in 1999. It stated that Paris
would be destroyed on August 11, 1999. As it did not happen,
those who allowed this false prophecy to be given a lot of
coverage in France were hoping (and they were correct) that when
the true date of the destruction of Paris would be known, many
would be saying: Another Paco Rabane, eh?!

Have a nice day, folks!

'Peter Lemesurier' was correct about one thing though, Nostradamus did no specifically predict
Katrina.
But, I will agree with you that Nostradamus did predict tremulous things to follow this
astrological phase. Much like the tsunami near Indonesia, there was no exact prediction of a
tsunami, but the astrological prediction was there.
Just My Thoughts.
