Q. Did Nostradamus predict the election of Cardinal Josef Ratzinger as
Pope Benedict XVI?
A. No, not specifically. It remains to be seen whether he fits verses
such as VI.57 and VIII.41, though...
Meanwhile Ratzinger has (perhaps deliberately) made the link with
Malachy's 'Gloria Olivae' by naming himself 'Benedict': St Benedict's
original order was called the Olivetans (!).
The Vatican is, of course, well aware of Malachy's prophecies.

But here's the tricky thing about prohecies Peter - Had he not thought
about using the name "benedict" he may have not been voted as pope and
someone else would have taken his place. Someone more suited to fit the
prophecy.
Ah!! little twists of fate in our history books - they do exist -

Sure, sure, just as the all-powerful Vatican was able to make
sure that Karol Wojtyla would be born on the day of a solar
eclipse, just as it was also able to make sure that he would be
buried on the day of yet another solar eclipse, just as it was
also able to make sure that his predecessor, John-Paul I, would
be elected under a half-moon, just as...
*
Now that you are through with your silly disinformation, let's
state the complete motto describing pope Benedict XVI:
*
DE GLORIA OLIVAE
*
If indeed, this was Nostradamus' clever way of pointing to the
fact that this pope takes the name of St. Benedict, the founder
of an order of monks from Monteoliveto, then it would follow that
the text hidden under this veiled motto would be Nostradamus' way
of indicating that Benedict XVI would be the first pope who would
read Nostradamus' oracle about the unintended destruction of
Paris, on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 3:53 a.m.
*
And, lo and behold, the cryptic anagram of this DE GLORIA OLIVAE
just happens to read IL VOIT L'ORACLE... which is... HE SEES THE
ORACLE.
*
So, even if one were to accept your theory that former cardinal
Ratzinger knew of the so-called Malachy prophecy and used it to
pick his papal name, this would be consistent with the notion
that cardinal Ratzinger would be sufficiently interested in
Nostradamus to read his decyphered prophecy.
*
Which is what the decyphered motto states, indicating that pope
John-Paul II (DE LABORE SOLIS = IEAN POL BLESSÉ) had not read it.
*
Have a nice day, ye all!

the *power of synchronicity* is to make sure that the new pope will be
inaugurated at St Peter’s on Sunday, 24th April 2005 during the Jewish
Passover of 15th Nisan (The Pharisee's Crucifixion day and the Feast of
Unleavened bread), when there is also a Penumbrial Lunar eclipse!
