Ergo, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the
evildoer"; i.e. the ego-self; literally, the devil-incarnate.
Your mortal ego-self is the devil-incarnate as your physical,
mortal, temporizing manifestation of your immortal soul-body.
God wants to help you, but God isn't going to do it for you.
You must participate in your salvation. Jesus is our brother
in the tribulation. Take up your tau, your ankh, and walk the
walk! Don't just talk the talk, or you'll pay the piper, bub.
The point is, if you don't feel married to God, obligated to
doing God's will, to hearing God's word, to giving thanks to
God always, then you are already an adulterer--and a traitor
against God eternal. You have violated all Ten Commandments,
even the Golden Rule upon which God's Eternal Universal Law
is eternally founded--infinite, like God's Universe, as with
eternal soul, each of whom has no ultimate beginning, and no
ultimate ending; but falls into temptation from time to time.
The least you can do is admit that you are a sinner, and that
you need God's eternal salvation in Jesus Christ our LORD and
Saviour. Because without God, your soul is in grave danger of
Death & Hell, then the Judgment. You'll pay every penny owed.

self. *ONLY* our heavenly Father and His first-begotten Son

is the Truth, the Way, and the Light. You must ask God and
Jesus DIRECTLY for help. No worldly mortal sinner can save
your soul from destruction and damnation exactly befitting
your works of good & evil--and your complicity with others.
