I happen to think that your depiction of the afterworld is pretty close to
what I believe it is. Its very close to my view. Ghosts are spirits still
hanging on or paying for things they did in life.

REALIZING THAT the left-wing nutjobs in this group aren't
amenable to learning anything of value, I'll direct this
message to others more mature, polite, and conservative.

Everybody knows that mortal humans must each die someday.
Even Jesus Christ died (most horribly, being crucified),
and Jesus' soul spent fully three days and three nights,

in Hades before being resurrected into his immortal body.
That must've seemed like a thousand years to Jesus' soul!

So make no mistake regardless of your religious beliefs
or lack thereof; someday *you* too will die, whereupon
your immortal soul will be dispatched into the hereafter.
Christian, Muslim, Jew, Atheist, it makes no difference.
Death is the great equalizer. Make NO mistake about it.

Upon ones bodily death, his/her immortal soul which had
inhabited that now-deceased person is instantaneously
discarnated into the spirit realm. In this discarnate
state, the soul then begins to Judge that now-dead self.

Judgment is meted out in accordance with by what measure
that old self had adjudged others during its incarnated
lifetime. If you'd judged others righteously, accurately,
honestly, etc, then your soul's Judgment of your self-in-
life will be likewise righteous, accurate, and honest.

But if you'd routinely misjudged others during your last
lifetime in the body, that is unrighteously, inaccurately,
dishonestly, etc, then that's precisely the SAME measure
by which your discarnated soul will Judge your last self.
If you were generous in life, your soul will be entreated
generously. But if you were stingy and self-serving, then
that's how your soul will be mistreated... just desserts.

This describes a fundamental difference between friendly
verses unfriendly ghosts. People who'd lived virtuously,
helpfully, graciously, gratefully, joyfully, etc, during
their lives-incarnate find themselves similarly virtuous
and optimistic about their prospects in the spirit realm,
as they await their next incarnation into a new body, in
a new time and place, usually on Earth, but sometimes on
other inhabited planets in solar systems lightyears away.

By stark contrast, those lamentable souls who'd behaved
dishonestly, disrespectfully, the sacrilegious, impious,
irreverent, during their miserable lifetime in the body,
liars, cheaters, adulterers, the disloyal and unfaithful,
worst of all were violent criminals, rapists, murderers
(and cowards who stood by and did nothing to stop them),
then the afterlife (or 'Life Between Lives' as a famous
author has called our discarnate souljourns in a book so
titled) isn't nearly as brightly illuminated, rather is
dark and foreboding, made so by that soul's own shadows,
each soul by the measure of their ill-will against God
and against their brethren during their physical lives.

When Mr. Acorah encounters souls of predominantly good-
will, friendly ghosts, he says so immediately. Likewise,
when he encounters a malefic ill-willed soul who'd been
an inhumane lowlife during their last incarnation, then
Derek immediately says so, e.g. "that's a bad one; evil,
wretched soul, that one is", etc.

And it isn't just what Derek Acorah says, but is as much
his demeanor with which he says it. When he encounters the
good souls, his face lights up with joy and optimism. But
when he is confronted by bad souls, his countenance shows
it. His face grimaces--repulsed by that evil soul's anger
and hatred, that ugly soul's violent and sadistic pattern.

And because good-willed, God-loving souls are insulated
by a great chasm from the God-hating ill-willed souls in
the spirit realm (as between the pure astral plane verses
the low astral plane for example), the good souls tend to
congregate in the brighter light, whereas bad souls band
together in the darker, courser, lower-vibratory levels
for more remedial training, as they await incarnations
into decidedly more difficult and painful circumstances
on account of their *indebtedness* to the Great Spirit.

This is especially true of the troubled ghosts who haunt
physical places. Some don't even know they are dead yet.
Others, particularly the egregiously sinful ones in life,
they're fearful of leaving their known haunting spot for
the inevitable Judgment which awaits their participation.
They can't evade this forever. And the longer they wait,
the harsher the spectre of their future Judgment becomes.

Even the living haunt physical locations while they sleep,
while they are dreaming. I know I do this frequently, and
many other incarnated souls do it whether they realize it
or not. I think most are just too afraid to remember it,
that our souls are still haunting some places we used to
haunt before we were born into the bodies we now inhabit.
Not so much specific places as by *patterns* of haunting.

This is akin to souls-incarnate today who fear the future,
who fear the unknown, who fear death and dying, who fear
ghosts for that matter. What they're *really* fearing is
their own shadow-self, the Devil and Satan in all of us.

It's their own innate vulnerability which makes them so
afraid, so vulnerable, so uncertain, so devoid of faith,
hope and charity. They didn't practice and nurture these
spirit awarenesses (neither the other seven) during their
earthly incarnation, and that's why they don't practice
them in the very same spirit realm whilst discarnate from
the body. Same spirit. One has a physical body, the other
does not. Otherwise, we're talking about the SAME spirit
realm, each very veiled, hidden, insulated from the other
only by the perspective of incarnated verses discarnated.

Jesus advised us to store up our treasures in heaven, in
the spirit realm, while we are living in the body. That's
good advise, since that's where our discarnate soul will
reap the benefits after we die, and we'll bring these
heavenly treasures with us into our next incarnation,
to continue practicing and nurturing them ad infinitum.

In closing, soon enough *you* too will find your soul is
without a living body to continue inhabiting--for awhile.
It is best to practice and nurture things of the spirit,
heavenly things, while you're still living in your body.
Because once your body dies, it's your spiritual habits
which will help to illuminate your discarnate souljourn,
and will help to keep your soul separated from malicious
souls which heavily populate the lower reaches of Hades.
