Haven't visited this site for quite a while.
Had expected someone would have already mentioned a certain something,
but I did a search and...nope, so...
There are a few Saddam quatrains. One in particular
could relate to Katrina.
Now, as we all know, Nostradamus *is* a tricky guy.
As an example I am reminded of the famous story about
the Oracle of Delphi who told a king that the result
of his attacking another kingdom would be:
"A great kingdom will fall."
The king, being a self-centered king-type, assumed
that it was the other kingdom that would fall - WROOONG!
HIS kingdom fell.
It illustrates my point that some sentences *appear* to
refer to one party, but it is actually the second party
to whom it refers.
Further, Nostradamus worked in four-line quatrains and
needed to pack in as much information as possible in just
a little space. Thus some lines are intended to serve
double duty. That is, two or more intended interpretations.
I believe we have a line here that refers to *both* parties.
Quatrain VI.33
Sa main derniere par Alus sanguinaire
Ne se pourra par la mer guarantir:
Entre deux fleuves craindre main militaire,
Le noir l'ireux le fera repentir
His remaining option - al US carnage
He will be unable to protect himself by sea
Mesapotamia will fear the military option
(Latin) Niger, Iraqundus, Paenitere (Penitentiary (Abu Ghraib))
Line two: Ne se pourra par la mer guarantir:
has almost universally been interpreted as meaning
Saddam will not be able to protect himself from
a sea invasion.
In January 2004 I had posted:
"
*********************
There is a disturbing third interpretation to line two.
"He (who is He referring to???) will not be able to protect
himself from the sea." This could be pointing to another
USS Cole type incident.
*********************
"
I had been thinking in terms of the immediate theater of war,
the Persian Gulf.
Now we realize that a sea incident on the other side of the
world (Katrina) will cause a profound shake-up of the US conscience,
view point and priorities and be deeply felt in "Iracundus".
Iracundus - Nostradamus' other name for Irak, Irac, Iraq.
Iracundus is Latin for someone that constantly irate - irascible.
