Now, Budbutt, here's my original post replying to Jane, and here I am
saying that part of the blame could come down on the governor and/or
mayor, but I am making it clear that the screw-up could go higher up in
government. -----

Since some are so fond of the BBC, thought I'd pass on this arcticle
reiterated that there is enough blame to go around in this debacle.
For example, why did the mayor wait so long to call the evacuation and
why, since he stated the police could commandeer any vehicle, did they
leave the buses to flood out?
Why did the governor wait until Thursday (Thursday!) to sign the order
releasing school buses?
There are also the usual criticisms of FEMA and Bush and they are also
merited....but it cannot all be laid at the feet of the Feds.

Ok, so they all share in the unnecessary deaths of many citizens. Since
there's a pecking order of command and accountability we start at the
bottom or from the top--it doesn't really matter --
and work it through until Bush, Chertoff, Brown, the Alabama Gov., NO
Mayor, and anyone else involved in the misplanning, mismanagement,
miscoordination of this miserable debacle is systematically removed from
public office...and onto court action for punishment for negligence in
their sworn duties to protect the public. And then the whole damn system
is reviewed and changes made where deemed necessary to improve the
response.
Right on. For once, I agree with you.
Jane
Doc
Okay, Budbutt, you comprehend that much to this point? Let's proceed to
the next level. Here's your first reply to my post --

Of COURSE it matters!

And replaced by WHO???

You're just being stupid.
Name ONE disaster, ever, when help was there, in adequate levels,
in less than week.
to improve the response.
AIN'T gonna happen. Not now, not ever.
Got that, Budbutt? Alright, you can see that I included Bush and Chertoff
as part of the screwing-up. At this point, I'd expect you to be upfront
and show you're a Republican, or conservative, and that you think Bush and
Chertoff don't share any accountability for mistakes made. You can't be
honest about your own views.
Instead, what I get from your weasel ***** is a beat-around-the-Bush
approach. I'm conceding that blame could include the democrat politicians
your 'police officer' friend roundly blames for incompetence. However, my
concession isn't good enough for your sharply biased political stance, and
so you continue on asking *****-headed questions, playing around with me,
refusing to just come clean and present your very partisan viewpoint.
Noooo...the truth of your position comes out as a little story from your
'police officer' friend. Of course, you completely agree with Mr. Cop
*****.
There's nothing quite like a weasel ***** in politics who can't show their
partisanship upfront, their extreme biasedness from the very start. What I
get from your acorn head is what one could call 'the cat and mouse game.'
I'm the mouse. Is deceptiveness in your character and mischievousness and
subtle harassment the character traits we can all look forward to in that
much improved political world of republican idealists like your shitty
self? Even when your opponent (or is it the enemy, Budbutt?) tries to go
half-way, you're totally unwilling or incapable of admitting the
possibility that Bush and/or Chertoff are to share in the mistakes made in
the Katrina calamity.
You want it all your way. And that's the common trait of a Bush-licker.
There's the usual historical extreme case referenced, to support your
*****-headed argument that democrats make crappy leaders, but republicans
don't. The world, according to you, would be so much better without any
"socialist" democrat. And any great calamity or crisis is so much better
handled by republicans that your ***** 7-day reponse time argument just
melts away when a republican's in office. It takes at least a week to get
'adequate' relief set up, you said, but you failed to mention you're not
including republican leadership in that delay. Oh nooo...democrats are the
ones. Yet, you obviously made no attempt to clarify your remark. Instead,
you hid your true feelings, your extremely biased political position, and
continued to banter with me. I thought I might be dealing with someone who
is capable of having some reasonable fairness and honesty in discussing a
difficult emotionally charged issue. I thought wrong.
I hope you enjoyed being a weasel about your position, and feel good about
being deceptive. It's the kind of sick moral character I've come to expect
from Bush lickers, neoconfucks, and the like.
We all look forward to a neoconservative utopia where lies, deception,
immaturity, irresponsibility, spitefulness, cowardice, manipulation, ad
fucking nauseam, is the mainstay of every day existence. You and your ilk
deserve that schizophrenic utopia, but the rest of us, who know better,
don't.
Burn in BushHell, you *****...
Doc ;))
