Got lots and lots to think about these days and that's why I can't be
bothered with you lot on APN these days....butI sill love yis...a new
business which I reckon some of you APN'ers can help me with and make
a few sheckels too. It's a net thing and still a "secret" for a week
or two more.
Would like to know if any of my old maties on APN have any contacts
with radio stations in the US and/or Independent recording studios.?
If you have I can see to it that you make a good few dollars.
Not trying to spam you guys...I would never do that...but this is a
moneymaking thing that can be really good for somebody who is
interested in the industry.
If any of you have these contacts then email me at the address above
and we can discuss it. It's a fantastic idea and worth a lot of dosh!
I'll explain it to you if you email me.

Ohmigod - I was just talking to Mr. Woods today on the way home (we have
an hour commute each way) about setting up a recording studio and/or radio
station that didn't fleece the artists! Sadly, neither one of us have any
contacts in either area. (And I wouldn't trust any RIAA affiliated
recording studio, nor any megacorporation radio stations - they'll know
how to fleece you "real good", as oldtimers would say). If you're going
to set up a radio station, I'd say NYC (or possibly Chicago) is probably
your best bet in the U.S. - very large market in a very small geographic
area, so you can have a lower power station and still reach a lot of
people. My idea was to broadcast only non-RIAA stuff, and not gear the
entire station's playlist toward a single genre/demographic.
Most "indpendent" recording studios are artists who have a studio, or rent
studio time.
I'd say there's something floating in the Collective Unconscious, Chris.
We can't both have come up with ideas in similar themes without it being
"out there"!
