Hey guys,
I've finally gotten around to adding more to my space. I was
wondering if any of you mind if I put your photos up there?
If you want to see what I've added, again, the address is:
http://www.myspace.com/danisland77
To see what I've added so far. I don't have that many
photos downloaded onto my computer so I have to
work on that.
Let me know if you mind if I put some of yours up there.
Cheers,
Dani

I would rather you didn't, for now anyway. I asked Perseid to take his copy
down, too, so it isn't personal. I'm just not as brave as you are...I
sometimes have enemies in the group, so I'd just feel more comfortable if it
wasn't up. Thanks!

You can guess my answer..;)
No problem Dani. I would be honoured to be counted as a 'friend'.
That looks a 'classy' site. Having a 'friends' section is a good idea.
It's thoughtful of you to have asked first though..that was
considerate.
Yep...use whatever of mine you wish. Detractors, paranoia etc have
never bothered me over-much...;)
I've added a good friend of mine...someone who lives in Serbia.
I know that a certain...now deceased...person will be consumed with his
normal envy.

I didn't.

of course.
Looks like the site has been high-jacked for publicity purposes by

Ricky, I think you have to actually ask permission to be "added" as
one of my "friends" on the my space. I keep on getting emails from so
many people that want to be "friends" or whatever. All I have to do
is click on my photo and then I see all the other photos of my (real)
friends that I put up there. Did you try clicking on my picture?
Dunno. I think you have to request to see everything. Your picture
IS there though - on God.

I am quite envious, Dani. Over-much so. You are so beautiful, talented,

I am quite envious, Dani. Over-much so. You are so beautiful, talented,
understanding, gracious, and socially active -- all the traits I have
never had. I wish I could be like you ... or at least like a particular
poster who has an exceptional ability in the construction of
magnificent machines of death and mutilation. I even failed at building
Aurora plastic models when I was a kid...kept gluing my fingers
together.
Some of us can see through you, Doc...I think you know what I mean, :).
Is he fucking with me? Is that what you're implying?
Or, doc is just using you... notice how he can't even give you
a compliment without making references to wolfy. I'm sure some
of what he said is genuine though.
You ***** pile of space rocks...

You're a sweetheart, Dani. ;)) Yes, in fact, people say I'm quite a
stunner! (LOL!) Women swoon and salivate and often follow me around
wherever I go. Men frown, mock, and hiss with envy. (Although some also
follow me around. heehee...).
But, despite this heavy attention, this adoration of my extremely good
looks, I am still not "beautiful" like you. Besides being very attractive,
with alluring big eyes, your face radiates kindness and compassion, yet
there's a hint of toughness, too. You also have a good strong soul that
shines through your pretty eyes, emanates from your adorable face.
Thank you for the very nice compliment on my writing. I've been writing as
a special interest since age 6 (as soon as I learned to use block
letters), and was working a typewriter at age 9, publishing various things
since I was 10. Decades later, it is my main passion.
Don't let that neurotic trouble-maker and axe-murderer, Jane, steer you
wrong on my original post to you -- I genuinely like you, your looks, your
talent, your wit, your posts here. You're a great sport, too, and I
especially liked the way you played along with Ahmadinejad. It left a
lasting impression on me.
Just for your files, I'm of German-English-Scottish-Cherokee heritage.

Well, every girlfriend I've had turned out to be a Tom-boy! Honestly.
Every damn one. One gal refused to shave her legs -- ever -- and her hairy

Well, despite my writing skills, I have had little that has been published
by anyone but me! Underground trade zines, yes, but nothing mainstream. I
used to be an offset printer by trade (as one of several careers), so I
would use my work place to churn out small zines and booklets -- or go to
a photocopy joint. I'd sell 'em through trade zines or market them
directly to small independent bookstores or zine outlets. There are
millions of writers, but only a relative handful ever get "successful" in
terms of making a fully independent living off their efforts. I did work
for a small town newspaper as a stringer for awhile, and wrote ad and news
copy for a radio station.

You and I have that love and passion for writing in common.
Writing can be therapeutic -- as all creative endeavors can be. A natural
talent typically catches on very early in life. It is a gift that everyone
has. What we do with these gifts is up to us, of course, but not using, or
being able to use them to attain self-fulfillment is a trajedy of sorts.

Whoa! Which do you think you relate with the most?
Probably German and English, but the Cherokee blood has an odd
effect...every time I see an old Western movie that stereotypes Native
Americans, I get angry and get out my tomahawk and start whooping and
doin' a war dance. heehee...my granny was one-half Cherokee (on my
father's side), lived in Oklahoma. Her husband was all Scottish (and
apparently descended from Mary, Queen of Scots!!). They ran a large
cattle-feeder ranch (10,000 acres). They are probably the lesser
bloodlines of influence. On my mother's side, my granny was English
(Wales) and she had a German immigrant husband. Both full blooded. He was
investigated by the US govt. during WWII for possible connections to a
Nazi sympathy group, but nothing came of it.

Well, every girlfriend I've had turned out to be a Tom-boy! Honestly.
I was only a Tom-boy when I was a little girl.. I remember at the end
of the day, after playing with the neighborhood kids, I would check
to see how many cuts, scrapes and bruises I had.. and the more I had,
the better the day. I clearly remember that. And I absolutely hated
the ridiculous dresses my mum put on me for church (some were PLAID!)
Plaid? Some where flowered - some white ruffled - ALL with a puke
potential.
Every damn one. One gal refused to shave her legs -- ever -- and her hairy
legs made me realize (at the time) that some women struggle through a lot
of "feminine image" or "societal conformity" routines.
Unshaved legs? Nah.. gotta shave. I love being a woman, but shaving
and waxing is one of the price tags that go along with it.
Must be a headache
to shave all that hair off regularly.
It is! I've had my legs and bikini area waxed before and I'll tell
ya, it was GREAT! Didn't have to shave for almost two months. The
only down fall with that, though, is that you have to let the hair
*grow* to a certain extent before they can wax you. The growing
period drove me nuts.. I just shave now.
Men just don't give a ***** about
their's.
Yup, you guys are lucky in that aspect. You gotta shave your face
though (well some guys do, some don't).
I actually get along better with men.
I get along better with men too - I've always gotten along better with
the opposite gender. As a little girl; then a teenager - now a woman.
But, despite this heavy attention, this adoration of my extremely good
looks, I am still not "beautiful" like you. Besides being very

You have a lot more guts in that area than I do. I'm afraid
of rejection; I'm afraid of being told that my writing sucks.
I have poems that I've written.. they're mostly of the melancholy
type - pretty sad and pretty deep. And a lot very personal.

I completely agree with all of the above. I've been told my writing
sucks; I've been told it's good; I've been told I have a "raw" talent
that just needs to be worked on.. but I really just gotta stop
depending so heavily on what others think of it and concentrate more
on what fulfills *me* - what makes me sit back after I've written
something and say: "Hmmm.. that was pretty good!"

Wow.. you've sure got some strong roots there.
Tell me, please, something more about your heritage. I'm interested in

I'm 50-50 .. half Italian, half Irish. My mother is 100% Italian and
my father is 100% Irish. Both parents Catholic - and both also lived
their entire lives in Boston. I have nothing but Italian and Irish in
me (which can *also* make for a volatile mix!) I look a lot more
Irish than I do Italian (which you've probably already noticed from my
photo). I can definitely have the Irish temper.. but then I can also
have the cool, calm arguing abilities of my Italian side (the way they
can rip apart any argument and see directly through the person).
I've been to Ireland.. haven't been to Italy yet but it's on my
agenda.
I live in the South side of Boston (Southie) which is heavily
populated by the Irish.. we have bartenders here at the Irish
Pubs that are from Ireland - accent and all. But I think I pretty
much relate to both sides of my bloodline.
... speaking of which - think I'll go crack a Guiness and decide on
which wise-guy is gonna get whacked next .. ;)
Cheers,
Dani

Hi Dani. I didn't know we had so much in common. I'm a couple years older.
Familiar with the street life. My favorite movies and books is also Lord of
the Rings. I used to be into karate and self defense too. I'm also
Catholic (by birth). I love Psychology too, mostly for my personal growth. I've
been there and back and there and back again.
Thats what makes you an interesting and understanding person. I've had more
than my share of 'bad' experiences and depressing days and sometimes people
trust me becsuse i've been there. Anyhow, thanks.

Hey guys,
I've finally gotten around to adding more to my space. I was
wondering if any of you mind if I put your photos up there?
If you want to see what I've added, again, the address is:
http://www.myspace.com/danisland77
To see what I've added so far. I don't have that many
photos downloaded onto my computer so I have to
work on that.
Let me know if you mind if I put some of yours up there.
Cheers,
Dani

Hi Dani. I didn't know we had so much in common. I'm a couple years older.
How old, if you don't mind me asking?
Familiar with the street life.
Then you must be tough. That would be yet another thing we have in
common.
My favorite movies and books is also Lord of
the Rings. I used to be into karate and self defense too.
Yeah? I *adore* it. My best-friend got stabbed and killed (bled to
death) - I've mentioned that here before.. after she was killed I
started with the kickboxing, then I went for the Martial Arts.
I was a street fighter (needed to be living in South Boston)
So I know both.
I'm also
Catholic (by birth).
Yup.. Catholic too. My mother used to dress me up with these
ridiculous dresses and tights and these black shoes (forget what
they're called) .. and bring me to church...years upon years of it.
Now I only go to church on Easter and Christmas to recieve the Holy
communion.
I love Psychology too, mostly for my personal growth. I've
been there and back and there and back again.
Psychology and writing are my passions. I adore Psychology. It truly
is the only thing that interests me career wise. I remember trying to
figure out what I wanted to do for a living and I opened up a
Psychology book to read about depression - then I knew, this is what
I want to do with my future.
Thats what makes you an interesting and understanding person.
Thank you.
I've had more
than my share of 'bad' experiences and depressing days and sometimes people
trust me becsuse i've been there.
I have depression but it's under control. You say "bad days" - some
days when it was at it's WORST I could not get out of bed.
Anyhow, thanks.
You're welcome...what for though? What did I do?
