India to launch ICBM
India is expected to conduct the first flight test of a new long-range
missile in six months, according to the Asian Age newspaper.
The Agni III missile will have a range of about 2,500 miles.
The missile is capable of carrying a conventional or nuclear warhead
weighing 1-1.5 tons.
The mobile missile is considered a strategic weapon for the Indians
that could be used against China or Pakistan in a conflict.
"All systems are in place. The team working on Agni III is excellent.
If everything goes well, the new version of Agni should be launched in
about six months," said Ram Narain Agarwal, who retired last week as
director of Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL), which is in charge of
missile development.
"If I were five years younger, I would have taken the country beyond
Agni III. Over the years we have almost mastered all technologies that
would be required in the future. We are moving with the times... In the
next few years if we continue the missile program with same vigor, Agni
could be taken to any distance," he said.

Does it not seem odd to you people that only certain countries are
allowed Nukes? US,Russia,Pakistan,India,N.Korea...etc? Who died and
made Bush-Blair the ones who allow certain countries to have nuclear
power. All Nuclear materials must be done away with whether for war or
energy. Solar, wind, and other forms of suppressed energy must be
brought to fruition. Oil and Uranium are controlled by the governments
and they are bringing the world to the final phase before ...........

That's not an ICBM class missile. The ICBM class missile essentially
goes into space and then comes back into the atmosphere over the target
area, and are therefore capable of hitting any *other* continent, not
limited to the range given.
