(CBS/AP) Citing broad gaps in U.S. intelligence,
the Coast Guard cautioned the Bush administration
that it was unable to determine whether a United
Arab Emirates-owned company might support
terrorist operations, a Senate panel said Monday.
The surprise disclosure came during a hearing on
Dubai-owned DP World's plans to take over
significant operations at six leading U.S. ports.
The port operations are now handled by
London-based Peninsular & Oriental Steam
Navigation Company.
"There are many intelligence gaps, concerning the
potential for DPW or P&O assets to support
terrorist operations, that precludes an overall
threat assessment of the potential" merger," an
undated Coast Guard intelligence assessment says.
"The breadth of the intelligence gaps also infer
potential unknown threats against a large number
of potential vulnerabilities," the document says.

The U.S. Government would not 'deliberately' get into a situation like this with Terroristic
Countries. - An 'fool' should (hopefully) know this much. [This statement is not directed at
you Wood.]
But for the Bush Administration (or his cronies) to make a DEAL with the Bin Laden family
(however separated from Osama they may be) is like saying "Sure, we would love to give you
'Fool (Full) Access' to our Ports." - Its as if the U.S. Administration is 'Awarding'
lucrative deals to past Supporters (without realizing that these are the same supporters) that
may change with the WIND !!!
Has America forgotten that many of the 'Terrorist' of 9/11 (and their financiers) came from
this very same region ???
Just an interesting thought (that will most definitely come back to haunt them).
[But, by then the Democratic Party will be in Power, and this will all be their FAULT.]

Sorry if that last post sounded like a train of 'irrational' thought.
Too many voices from the "Past Life" screaming in my ear at once.
AND, everyone of them saying "This deal is ludicrous." ( :- [ )
But, 'on a brighter note' (if you can call it that), things (like this) need to happen for the
"Future To Unfold" as it has already been 'predicted' it will !!!
"You can't change the Future, you can only live IT as it happens !!!"
