Pentagon Iraq Quagmire War Costs $186 Million/Day
Bush's War on Iraq costs more than the Vietnam War, according to the
Institute for Policy Studies and Foreign Policy in Focus report called
"The Iraq Quagmire."
Iraq now costs more per month than the average monthly cost of the
Vietnam War during the 1960s and 1970s -- $5.6 billion per month for
the War on Iraq vs. $5.1 billion per month for eight years in Vietnam,
adjusting for inflation.
Iraq War monies approved by Congress total $204.4 billion so far.
Killing Iraqi women and children is not cheap.
Each person in the United States is paying $727 so far, "making the
Iraq War the most expensive military effort in the past 60 years,"
wrote the authors of the report Phyllis Bennis and Erik Leaver.
Losing the War on Iraq has been very expensive so far and will
probably exceed the cost of losing the Vietnam War which was about
$600 billion.
According to Reuters, "The Iraq Quagmire" also noted --
* the deaths of an estimated 23,000-27,000 Iraqi civilians and more
than 2,000 U.Pentagon Iraq Quagmire War Costs $186 Million/DayUS.
military personnel and civilian contractors;
* the social costs of domestic programs slashed to meet the budget
shortfall;
* the loss of income to reservists and National Guard troops who spend
long periods away from their careers and businesses as well as the
anticipated costs of treating returning troops for mental health
conditions as a result of their service.
The War on Iraq could be this nation's biggest boondoggle ever.

Considering it (Iraq) really is just a police action there must be
some Leakage of funding, going on.
Having heard the Brits commanders go around disseminating funds to the
local leaders buying peaceful actions, I reckon they have not counted
on the inflationary effect this will have.
Oh and the emnity of the Kurds.

You can call it whatever you like, still illegal and not necessary.
