Hi,
I would like to know the forums opinion regarding Israel and Iran. Israel
seems worried about Iran's threat to wipe them off the map if they aquire
nuclear weapons, so why doesn't Israel strike first with their nukes? I
keep reading about the imminent attack on Iran and Syria by Israel and as
sure as god made little Green Apples something is going to go down soon. Do
you think America is banking on Israel doing it's dirty work for them on
this one?

I have read Iran will have to spend up to 5 years more on their program
before they will have a working atom bomb. That is if they don't get help
from other nuclear capable countries. That's why they are dragging out the
time, saying they will talk and negotiate while not giving anything or
halting their program.
I don't think Iran will be nuked if they are not first attacking other
countries, military or by terrorism. But I see it very probable they will be
connected to terrorism. They are making rockets, and they got radioactive
material which can be used in dirty bombs.
I also see it very probable Iran may be attacked by other countries than USA
and Israel, not in the very near future though. Russia, China and India
don't like muslim extremists.

I don't think Israel has any intention of using its nukes in a first
strike capacity. I think they are there only for MAD - if some other ME
state takes out Israel, they are guaranteed to be taken out right along
with Israel.
I don't think Israel would be foolish enough to take on Iran overtly at
this point in time, but I think Washington just might be that dumb.
(After all, they're dumb enough to keep playing one-upmanship with
Iran's crazy leader, and they took us into Iraq, right?)
