July 1999 -- the King of Terror ..... Nostradamus .... the prophecy that
became true

I'll take a wild stab at it. First of all, the passage:
" In the year 1999, seventh month,
From the sky will come a great King of Terror:"
Nostradamus knowingly used anagrams, letter substitutions, and IMO, possible
number inversions. By this I mean that 9's and 6's can usually be inverted
without confusion (to much anyway). My point is by playing with the 9's in
1999, you can get several different dates. Pretty much all of his prophecy
interpretations are in hindsight. Anyway, let's try July, 1969. Obviously
this is when the Saturn V blasted off to the moon. I remember seeing an
interview with an Afghan shortly after the US pretty much invaded their
country. In the interview, he said something like, "we are afraid of your
missiles." Afraid is another word for terror - right? What's the biggest,
i.e., missile ever built? Why the Saturn V of course. Could this be the
"great King of Terror?"
Next comes the passage:
"To bring back the great Mongol King,
Before and after Mars to reign by good luck."
Not sure about the Mongol King part. A lot of folks think that the greatest
Mongol King was Genghis Khan. Supposedly, he was born near what is now
called Lake Baikal, Russia. It's a big big lake and there's no telling
which shoreline he was born in. His empire spread all over the east. Now
who was born in July, 1969?
Mars is now closest to the earth in 35,000 years. I suppose that makes
since in a distorted way.
I have a crazy idea about mabus but that entails shifting one of the letters
to the left or right and playing with anagrams....
These are my humble opinions...

The correct translation is NOT 'terror'.
Next comes the passage:
"To bring back the great Mongol King,
Before and after Mars to reign by good luck."
He ALSO never said 'mongols'.

No need to shout...
I'm not French, so what is it?

I guess I haven't read the right book yet.

Using http://www.nostradamus-repository.org/search/ you can search for
it on the left, then display it on the right. On the right, you
specify that you want to see "both" languages.
The key word "deffraieur" is one that I don't know.
"To bring back the great Mongol King,
Before and after Mars to reign by good luck."
He ALSO never said 'mongols'.
I guess I haven't read the right book yet.
The word "Angolmois" doesn't make me think of Mongols. To me, it
looks like "lesser English", perhaps Americans.

As you'd pronounce it, Defrayer.
The word "Angolmois" doesn't make me think of Mongols.
That's a common exchange for Angolueme,
the area in France where the royal line came from.
