I shouldn't have written "Muslims" because that sounds like I was
speaking of *all* of them and that is not the case. I should've said
the suicide bombers who believed/believe they will be rewarded in
the after life by Allah for killing. Millions of Muslims don't
believe that way and are peaceful people.

In recent polls about 25% of Muslims in the USA support suicide
bombers,
so if we extrapolate that out the 1 Billion or so Muslims in thw
world, that
would mean that 250 Million Muslims suppoert such actions and would
like to
kill us all.

What does such an intelligent person like you, from such an
intelligent state
as you suggest that we do about that?

More recent polls show 85% of Bush policy hangers-on have IQs below 50,
and less than half (48%) have completed high school.
Other scientific polls support these findings, showing 81% of Iraq War
apologists have had lobotomies, are currently on lithium and having ECT
treatments, and/or have been sniffing airplane glue.

Actually that was what I have been thinking of you (that you're not
worth replying to). And the reason being is that you seem to be one
of the very few stragglers hanging onto this insane support for Bush
and an even sicker support for the invasion of Iraq. Most people
I talk to, know, the things I read, the things I watch/hear etc..
everyone is against Duhbya; everyone is devastated that our troops are
literally STUCK in Iraq. It seems the more and more time goes by, and
the more and more the death tolls rise - the more and more of an
outcry is heard against Bush.
As I said, there seems to only be a few of you left. And if there's
more I must be turning a blind eye and deaf ear from sheer disgust.
Disgust that anyone after all that has happened could STILL be in
support of Bush.
Oh and that's rather choice that you called Randy "anti-US" when he's
an American! You've got that backwards, Bub - we are PRO-US. We want
our country back for Christ sake. You're Canadian, correct? Yet you
sit there in judgment of an American who is here living this day in

*****.. now you're making stuff up..

Ahhh, I can't help it if you are uninformed, can I?

Here's a little bit of truth for you, try it, it won't hurt.

http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NjA4MzhmNmZjZWIwNmQ2MTJjZTQzOTU3...
The poll found that while 80 percent of U.S. Muslims believe suicide

cannot be justified, fully 13 percent said they can be justified, at
least rarely. One in four younger American
Muslims find suicide bombings in defense of Islam "acceptable at

Isn't all that "somewhat" less than the 25% you claimed above?
And besides we still have "around" 20% here still supporting Bush's
Imperial Oil War. Goes to show you can have an ignorant die hard
extremism in any culture.
Interesting symmetry in that there's roughly the same ratio of
warmongers to suicide bombers in this debate.
More on Bush's Imperial Oil War.
http://daily.stanford.edu/article/2007/10/15/roundtableDebatesEnergyIssues
While Hennessy, Matson, Friedman and Bryson discussed green
technology, the subject of America's operations in Iraq was also a
hotly debated topic. (General John) Abizaid, who was formerly the
Commander of the United States Central Command, quickly established a

What...bit arrogant dontcha think? You're assuming that. I can't
imagine that any God blessed the building of a country which was set
up through the spilling of the blood of the original inhabitants.
Genocide! Killing them in the name of God is ok is it? Did God
sanction that then? If your answer to that is yes then tell me, how do

As mentioned above, I'm talking about American history, which is of
course fairly recent in the big scheme of things, and not just the
last few years. All of it. In the 200 odd years that America has
existed, and the lead up to it's existence, you've managed to do a
hell of a lot of damage to vast areas of the world including your own.
All in the name of God...(which in plain language means because it was
in your own interests to do so). You're still at it today. I even hear
young idiot American soldiers who've returned from or returning to
Iraq and/or Afghanistan saying that they're doing it for God and
America as if there is some kind of spiritual link between the two.
That's where the hijacking of God comes into it. Where hell did you
Americans get the idea that God is on your side? You decided
yourselves...there's the arrogance. Believing that any God would be on
the side of such arrogance...that's where the ignorance comes into it.

What...bit arrogant dontcha think?

No, not at all. History tells us that it was initially
set up as a Christian nation and that it did well.

You're assuming that. I can't
imagine that any God blessed the building of a country which was set
up through the spilling of the blood of the original inhabitants.

I'm not talking about that. Now you're jumping back
too far. I'm saying that as it was set up in the later
portion of the 18th century, that's all. But otherwise,
I see your point.

Genocide! Killing them in the name of God is ok is it? Did God
sanction that then? If your answer to that is yes then tell me, how do
you know? The history of America is riddled with violence from day
one. Then slavery came along...and yes I know that slavery was not
just an American phenomonen but that does not justify it...

Slavery was obviously not a good thing and was
abolished. But you forget that it was a Christian
influence that abolished it. While some tried to
use the Bible to justify it, that's what was argued
(Biblical principles) that finally toppled it.
People do make mistakes. That's a huge one and
I'm not trying to say otherwise. But it is in the
correction that we saw the truth. Unfortunately,
prejudice is a hard thing to fight!

You think the USA was able to rise to the heights that it

As mentioned above, I'm talking about American history

But you're talking about much later, when the poster
was talking about the founding of the nation.

200 years... all of it

But the poster wasn't and so, you did not address his
point, especially since he also agreed that later it went
downhill. And by trying to combine it all as one, you
act as if there was nothing good, ever.

Kind of like the idea that our bodies aren't really the "seed"
which is sown, and raised from the dead like 1 Corinthians 15
clearly teaches, but the "shell" (which the text nowhere says,
and you made up and inserted there), of the seed that falls
away and remains dead. But then, you have to make up and
insert contradictory things into the text of the Bible, in
order to deny the plain teaching our dead bodies will rise
from the dead, not remain dead.

Christ raised:

More stupid newspaper prophecy.

We'll see.

Yea, yea, yea, the newspaper prophets always say that!

What exactly is a "newspaper prophet" ?

You look at what's currently going on and then,
all of the sudden, we see "prophecy" by you,
claiming what's going to happen, which of course,
just happens to line up with current events gone
very wrong.

Well what would you have me point out, something
that is not happening?

Wait, lemme guess... It's in the Bible, right?

Not in those words, but it is all part of the coming Tribulation.

Right. In other words, the Bible doesn't say it,

You expect the Greek language from 2000 years ago to be
word for word of the English language today?

Oh, gee, how wrong I was to think that I shouldn't
make the Bible say whatever is happening in my day!

In other words one shouldn't expect too see the words
"The United States of America" in the Bible, but one might
connect the description in the Bible of "Mystery Babylon"
with the USA.

Yes, I'm sure that Jesus just spoke to those poor dumb
goat herders in a way they could understand, because
he was really talking about us today!

But hey, no vanity there, right?!

but you'll claim it's part of what's in the Bible.

The events happening today are without a doubt events
referred to by the Biblical prophets.

Of course! It's all about you and your time!

No, it's all about the prophecies of the last days, which just
happen to be upon us now, not the generation of 100 years ago
or 100 years from now, but this generation.

After all, if it isn't, then what good is the Bible,
right?!

Wrong.

You don't get it, do you. You ASSUME that it's
all about YOU and YOUR TIME. That's called,
"vanity".

Wait, lemme guess... It's in the Bible, right?

In other words, it doesn't matter to you what it says,
you're going to claim it says it anyway and uses
different words to do so. So the Bible might say
something very clearly, but since it HAS to be about
YOU, it MUST REALLY MEAN something else!

Yes, I'm sure that Jesus just spoke to those poor dumb
goat herders in a way they could understand, because

It simply CANNOT be about anyone else!
But hey, no vanity there, right?
And it surely doesn't matter that the generation
before you said the same thing and that the
generation after you will say the same thing!
You're all right! All of you! Because to be wrong
for the Futurist, means to be right!

After all, if it isn't, then what good is the Bible,
right?!

Wrong.

Really? So if it's not all about you and your time,
then the Bible is just as valuable to you and you
would spend just as much time in it?
That's bull and we both know it!!! You spend your
time playing your game of puzzles, trying to figure
out how it's all about you and how you can reword
things, so that they're really saying your time and
where you live!
And you use the handle, "Voice of Reason"?!
PUHLEASE!!! (:

Title: VOICE OF REASON: YOUR CLAIMS 12 Oct 2007 11:30:25 AM
On Fri, 12 Oct 2007 04:39:33 -0700,
voiceofreason@torontomail.com wrote:
Let's review your position, because I believe in giving
people a fair shake.
Thus far, what we have, is you claiming that the Bible
speaks about the United States and that the following
WILL happen, because apparently, according TO YOU,
"the Bible says so":
1) War with Iran within the next 90 days.
2) Nuke or dirty bomb attack in Europe by Islamic
Terrorists within the next year.
3) Major disruptions in the USA (within 2 years) due
to clashes between those who want illegal aliens
out of the USA and those who support these law
breakers.
4) Marshal Law in the USA within 2 years.
These are your predictions, which you will be held to.
Now will you admit that you were wrong, when they
don't happen? No, of course not! You will come up
with an excuse and make more predictions!
And if any of them do come true, you will claim that
it's proof that "the Bible said so", which you will not
be able to prove and will make this claim instead of
just admitting that you looked at the scene of current
events and made some self fulfilling prophecies,
that you called Biblical.
But hey, as I said, give everyone a fair shake, right?
So show us where the Bible says these things, okay?
Oh, no, wait... that's right! I forgot! You said...
VOR: "You expect the Greek language from 2000 years
ago to be word for word of the English language
today?"
In other words, it doesn't say it in the Bible, but you said
that it really means that, so that proves it, even though
there is no Greek in the Bible for "the United States".
Gotcha! What was I thinking?!
Now of course, when asked to prove your case Biblically,
you said the following:
VOR: "Great Tribulation is coming upon the world,
it is coming to the USA because the USA was
blessed by God and then the USA rejected God
and will like all other nations that have done so
pay the price."
I responded with:
PD: "Of course! And no other nation has ever done that!"
....being sarcastic, of course.
You then said...
VOR: "What don't you understand about this:
'and will like all other nations that have
done so pay the price.' So your statement
is simply wrong."
Now in this speech of yours, I still have yet to see
any Biblical proof of your position, or for your claims.
It seems that to you, just saying, "the Bible says it"
is all the proof that supposed to be needed. But I
assure you, that it isn't enough!
But that's okay, because you said...
VOR: "In other words, one shouldn't expect too see
the words 'The United States of America' in
the Bible, but one might connect the description
in the Bible of 'Mystery Babylon' with the USA."
Now of course, I responded with...
PD: "Yes, I'm sure that Jesus just spoke to those poor
dumb goat herders in a way they could understand,
because he was really talking about us today!"
....because that seems to be your opinion of them,
even though Paul said that it as to them, back then,
that the mysteries were revealed to. But hey, who
cares about those pesky words in the Bible, right?!
I mean after all, you're so much smarter than they
were and you know so much more than those who
walked with Jesus, right?!
So you went on to say...
VOR: "The events happening today are without
a doubt events referred to by the Biblical
prophets."
Now notice, you said, "without a doubt". That means
that there can't be any doubt at all! This is the same
as saying that YOU CAN'T BE WRONG!!! So now you
are God! You make yourself God, since He is the
ONLY one who CAN'T BE WRONG!
But then it gets better! You continued on to say...
VOR: "It's all about the prophecies of the last days,
which just happen to be upon us now, not
the generation of 100 years ago or 100 years
from now, but this generation."
So here we are! It cannot possibly be about any
other generation! It has to be about this one!
But yet, even though you refer to today's news and
claim it's in the Bible, even though you admitted that
the Bible doesn't say these things, you say that you
aren't a newspaper prophet!
And what's sad, is that Futurists tolerate people like you
and yet, criticize people like me, while at the same time,
claiming that they don't buy into stuff like this, yet
people like you and the famous ones, are all over
the place, selling millions upon millions of books
and having their own TV shows, because they stroke
the egos of people, which those same people deny
is why they listen to them!
What does that mean? That Futurists are vain, egotistical
idiots, who will listen to any bit of insanity, if it means
that they get to think that God didn't give a damn about
anybody but THEM, in THEIR time!
But hey, like I said... a fair shake, right? So you go
ahead and prove your claims to us all and if you can,
then I'll convert to your belief!
But just so you know... claiming that "the Bible doesn't
actually say it, but that means it says it", which is all
you have claimed so far, isn't proof!
