Killer most dangerous in British history
13 December 2006 | 18:31
CRIMINOLOGISTS are today warning that the killer currently stalking
Ipswich is one of the most dangerous multiple murderers in British
history.
The sheer speed and audacity of the Ipswich red light murderer is being
labelled unprecedented as almost daily discoveries are made, amid fears
that the killer maybe taunting police because of where he dumped the
bodies.
There have even been suggestions he is dumping the bodies in broad
daylight, seemingly indifferent to the police efforts to stop him.
The most recent discoveries in Levington are just around the corner to
where the body of 24-year-old Annali Alderton was found dumped in
Nacton on Sunday.
Suffolk chief constable, Alastair McWhirter said: "No one has ever
had to deal with this before. If you think of the Yorkshire Ripper, the
murders took place over a long period of time."
It is this killer's apparent chilling arrogance that is leaving our
senior officers concerned that there will be yet more killings before
this monster is caught.
In little more than a month the Suffolk red light murderer has secured
his place in the history books of shocking crime already equalling Jack
the Ripper's grisly tally more than a century ago.
Jack, who was never caught, famously preyed on prostitutes picking them
off the murky streets of London's East End. He followed up his killings
by goading police with hastily scrawled messages and with the Ripper
letters - a succession of notes describing the attacks.
There are also disturbing similarities between the Suffolk killer and
the so-called Jack the Stripper who preyed on vice girls in 1960s
London.
Again unapprehended, the killer picked up and attacked prostitutes in
West London killing at least seven. Each victim was stripped and
stored, possibly in a garage, before being dumped in the Thames or
alleyways.
Peter Sutcliffe, dubbed the Yorkshire Ripper, was another notorious
killer of prostitutes s in the 1970s and early 1980s. He killed 13
women, often using a hammer or stabbing them, over a period of 11
years. He took six years to murder his first five victims. Terrorising
prostitutes Sutcliffe picked up women in a number of towns including
Bradford, Leeds, Manchester and Huddersfield.
Gary Ridgway, the so-called Green River killer, remains one of the
world's most prolific serial killers. Murdering an estimated 50 women
near the USA cities of Seattle and Tacoma , Washington, in a two and a
half year period in the early 1980s.
Ridgway, who was a suspect for more than 20 years, was finally arrested
in 2001 after police linked a number of the crimes with his DNA and the
paint he used in his job in a factory.

I live very near the site of most of Ridgway's murder victims.
Comparatively, the Ipswich killer hasn't made much of a 'dent' yet in
the cumulative body count, and the hype over the Ipswich killer is
being fueled by the overwhelming historical infamy of Jack The Ripper.
It comes, too, at Christmastime, which obviously aids in ramping up the
signficance of the incidences. I think it's interesting to note that
many faceless, nameless innocent people can get horribly killed in the
Iraq War, including babies and kids, and the media and the public can
file it all away so neatly every day...yet become so very alarmed and
involved in the serial murders of several people in Britain.
I find this to be an ironic and disturbing perrenial characteristic of
this species' odd social behavior.

I don't have any argument with you or anyone on the relative safety of
living in the Puget Sound area, Wally, but the fact is that because
this area is so low in people murdered per capita, is exactly why we
were quite shocked to play host to one of history's most prolific
serial killers, Gary Ridgeway. Certainly, Ted Bundy, another Seattle
area resident, was one of the most brutal despite the relatively low
body count. We were quite stunned by these two murdering pieces of
human excrement! I can tell you a chilling fact: I actually meant and
talked to one of Ridgeway's victims in a Thriftway grocery store along
Hwy. 99 only hours before this animal picked her up, raped, mutilated,
and stabbed her to death many times. That young very pretty 24 yr. old
woman, a local exotic dancer, was also an occasional customer in a
store I co-owned near the Thriftway store. It made me upset for a long
time. I still get upset thinking about it. If my humor about Wolfy and
the killer seems odd to you in consideration of what I've just said, it
is my way of showing the rage I have for the state of this species'
social behavior. I guess Freud would've had a field day with

Your research must have missed the fact that I grew up as a teenager
with Fred West. Knew him well.
After he killed himself in prison and his wife was convicted, I managed
a rewarding (financially) appearance on a BBC Special investigative
show about his crimes.
Fred filled his house and garden with victims..a few family members
too. The real count of his murders will never be known..although
convicted of (I forget exacly now) some 14 murders..all found buried in
his cellers...He killed many more. No charges made due to lack of
bodies. No more bodies could be buried in the small house..it had been
filled up with corpses years ago.
There are over 50 'definite' murders attributable to him in addition to
the 14 exhumed corpses.
As a builder he would work on concrete foundations. In many places he
was known to arrive early and start work. It isn't in the 'public
interest' to investigate further..simply because that would mean
pulling down large modern buildings.
At the time that he was 'filling his cellers' my mother lived in his
house in Cromwell street Gloucester. I spent a lot of time around
there..obviously unaware of exactly the contents of Fred's basement.
Bipolar...I do know a lot of things..and I don't need 'Google' or any
other reference for drawing upon a wealth of unusual experiences in
life.
Now you can make some 'comedy' or other up. I couldn't really care
less.
