Large Bee Swarm Attacks Bush Ranch
POSTED 5:43 am CDT April 24, 2007
April 24, 2007 -- A large bee swarm attacked security personnel at
President Bush's Crawford ranch early Tuesday morning, which prompted the
Secret Service to abandon their watches and seek protection inside
buildings and vehicles.
None of the Bush family was home when the attack occurred.
The bee swarm was described as "huge and fierce" of what appeared to be
honey bees, not hornets. It is believed that nearby construction work at
Crawford on a roadway may have disturbed a large bee hive in a tree,
aggravating the bees.
"The workers may have antagonized the bees and they came after everybody
and for awhile they were strong," said Tony Cuaron, a Secret Service agent
assigned to the Bush ranch property.
Cuaron said the bees stung some Secret Service agents before they were
able to seek shelter. None of the injuries were serious, and no hospital
treatment was required.
"Two agents we had here and they got them, they left immediately, they ran
to their cars," said Cuaron.
"One our guys had five bee stingers embedded in the seat of his pants. He
won't be sitting down for awhile," joked Cuaron.
An emergency aid call was place to nearby Crawford, resulting in arriving
fire fighters also being stung.
"We got out of the rig and as soon as we got out the bees were already
agitated and started attacking us," said Capt. George Garcia with the
Crawford Fire Department.
Each fire fighter was stung more than once and had to move away from the
area. Fire fighters told everyone to stay in doors while they called an
attack unit.
"They said they located the beehive about one-half mile from the ranch
entrance, and used foam that suffocates them and kills them. I don't know
if they got the queen or not, but it did kill a lot of bees," said Garcia.
Fire officials said spring is the season when you'll see bees more often.
Experts caution that people should not aggravate bees, which will attack
when provoked.

Why did they kill the bee hive? That is their HOME! It is *natural*
for bees to sting if aggravated. And who is to say that the security
personnel weren't bored from just sitting around for hours, doing
nothing, and they decided to play little games and purposely aggravate
the bees? Maybe the security guys were being assholes and started
acting up outta boredom and harassed the bees.
They shouldn't have went back and destroyed their HOME! If the bees
had attacked just any ol' nobody, would they still have destroyed the
beehive? Or was it destroyed specifically because the bees "invaded"
Duh-bya's little idiot ranch?
Sometimes I can't STAND humans! As I said, it is NATURE - it is
completely natural for bees to sting when they get intimidated or
aggravated; stinging is their DEFENCE MECHANISM! There was no need to
go back and destroy their home.
I bet the security guys were playing little games and pissed the bees
off on purpose.

I did not know you were an advocate of bumble bee rights Dani. I wonder if
they feel pain like humans do. They must, or why would they get so anxious
that they would actuall become 'suicide bombers' to protectt their home. I
heard that bees die if they sting someone. I'm not quite sure if tha's
true, but if it is, would that make bees the same as the terrorists?

I'm not an advocate of bees' rights, Mondo. It's the same way I'd
react if I heard that someone went into the woods, ***** some
Bears, then they got attacked (and rightfully so), then humans went
back and killed the entire family of Bears, cubs and all. It just
pisses me off, Mondo. I can't stand when *nature* is interrupted by
arrogant, mean, violent humans. I can't stand hunting etc.. for
example. I wouldn't even go fishing. I don't even step on ants on
the sidewalk; I walk around them.
Anyway, Woods explained to me that I am wrong in my initial assumption
of the behavior of these particular bees. I thought ALL bees reacted
that way to intimidation/aggravation. I wasn't aware that this is
unordinary behavior for bees. And I'm assuming the story is fake,
anyway.
I'm not an advocate for bees inparticular, Mondo. But I'm an advocate
for leaving nature ALONE! And then if you don't leave nature alone,
suffer the consequences; don't then turn around, report that you've
been "abused" by a Lion (for example), because *you* went and fucked
around with her cubs - she attacks you, then she and her entire family
get killed when in fact it was you that was in the wrong.
Do you see what I'm saying now?
I wonder if
they feel pain like humans do. They must, or why would they get so anxious

LOL! No, they're not like "terrorists" Mondo.. hehe. Ask Woods, I
think she mentioned that she's a bee keeper or something? I can't be
exactly sure of what she said but apparently she knows a lot about
bees.
My initial thought was that the security dudes were playing little
games outta boredom from sitting there for hours doing nothing, so
they started chucking little rocks or pebbles at the nest. LOL! It
didn't even dawn on me, initially, that this is more than likely a
made-up story.

You just can't leave things in peace. You have to stay sharp,
vigilant and use the magnificent assets at hand or they'll go rusty.
Once your dominance is challenged the enemy will only become
emboldened if you don't effectively strike.
You cannot rest. You don't want to question this. You do not want to

Security there has to be tight. Mr. Bush is clearly a target of
numerous terror groups. Now that Al Queda has become stronger over
the last few years we must be especially alert to these sleeper cells

establish the Bush family's dominance in the honey market in Texas.
Heheheheh! Clever, clever, you!
.. ;)
Nah, terribly strained and derivative. I'll keep trying tho. Maybe someday
I'll become an accomplished comedian.
I dig it! .. :)

That's not natural honeybee behavior, Dani. I'd hazard a guess that they
were africanized. Swarms almost never sting - they're loaded up with
honey in preparation for a long haul between swarming and having the queen
be able to lay eggs again. (It takes a couple of days to settle on a new
site, and it takes quite a while to build out the comb enough for the
queen to be able to start laying eggs again). With a full tummy, they
can't sting very well, and it's also not something they usually do when
swarming.
They shouldn't have went back and destroyed their HOME! If the bees had
attacked just any ol' nobody, would they still have destroyed the
beehive? Or was it destroyed specifically because the bees "invaded"
Duh-bya's little idiot ranch?
Like I said, it's not normal for normal honeybees to behave that way. You
pretty much have to be in their hive for them to come out at you, and
even then it's not much. Normal honeybees do NOT go piling out of the
colony to attack something nearby that's making noise. They'll become
agitated and put more guards out, maybe be a tad more aggressive towards
anything that actually approaches the hive, but they won't go out on a
hunt en masse like that. 'Tain't normal.
