January 17, 2007
It's been an interesting start to the new year, with the report of
the UFO hovering over the O'Hare airport, the space junk burning up
over Colorado and Comet McNaught passing by overhead, it's enough to
spark anyone's imagination. I've always been fascinated by the
night sky, I've spent more hours than I can count staring up until my
neck ached, hoping to see something unusual, perhaps the curse of
growing up in the 70's. So it is with child-like wonder I scan the
news for UFO sightings and all things strange and unusual and lately
it's been a veritable feast for speculation.
The O'Hare report was one of Chicago Tribune's most read articles;
people are fascinated by the idea that life out there truly exists. In
a New Years AP poll 1 in 5 of those questioned felt 2007 would be the
year we discover extraterrestrial life. The news has always been
sprinkled with strange sightings and most laugh it off as outrageous,
or so I thought, but according to a FOX poll, 55% percent of those
asked believe the government is withholding information about UFOs. And
in January of 2006 even Bill O'Reilly interviewed victims of alien
abduction on his program (FoxNews.com).
We've seen the pictures of the cave drawings depicting discs erupting
from the clouds, Christopher Columbus wrote of seeing strange lights on
his journey to discover America and astronauts and pilots have long
reported seeing unidentified lights or crafts, but the phenomenon has
mostly been disregarded as a serious subject of study by the mainstream
scientific communities. With the French releasing their UFO reports
soon, Google Video and You Tube posting new videos of strange lights
almost daily and speculation high, perhaps the lack of official
interest will adjust to the times.
It appears the world is curious and people are seeking, The Disclosure
Project (www.disclosure project.org) a nonprofit research project is
working to disclose the facts about UFOs, extraterrestrial
intelligence, and classified advanced energy and propulsion systems.
They claim 400 witnesses from the government, military and intelligence
communities testifying to their direct knowledge and first hand
experiences with the UFO phenomenon. It seems in May of 2001 twenty of
those witnesses stepped forward at the National Press Club in
Washington DC to open a dialogue as to the reality of UFOs and
extraterrestrial life.
The ideas sweeping the web on the subject are as varied as one might
imagine, some believing the recent sighting is the forerunner to the
extraterrestrials making themselves known and integrating into our
society. Others feel that their mother ship is coming to rescue them
from a dying planet and still others speak of a natural evolution as
the Mayan calendar ebbs to an end in the year 2012.
It does my heart good to know that we still wonder about the unknown
and dream of the inexplicable, life grows very boring when we no longer
explore the bounds of what is and is not possible.

How about posting the website for the group? I see on Amazon that they're
an indie group, so they should have a site somewhere so that you can order
directly. (Can't see going to amazon and giving them a cut just for
listing a CD ....)

You can contact Chris and Victoria at their site --
http://www.3feetup.com/
Everything's there, for ordering CDs, etc. And you can sample a bit of
their music, too...
I had a major computer failure this morning. Hard drive went out and all
my files with it! I hadn't got around to backing the site files up on a
CD. Just had the sites up for a month. Jeez...life's a *****! I'm on
another computer now and will be rebuilding my blog and site...maybe at
other locations. At least it didn't happen with a lot of files lost. I
write a lot so it won't be long it'll all be back up somewhere!
Thanks for your interest, Woods, in my work and in the Hardy's creative
works. Their music is, I think, wonderful "java cafe" tunes. Very nice
folks and Vicky's a good writer and has a lot of curiosity about the
paranormal, and an open mind.

If you're looking to get the stuff from your sites, you might try doing a
Google search and pulling things off their cache. It may take a few days
for stuff to show up as cached. (Had to do that at work once after our
external web server finally bit the dust and some of the created stuff
wasn't backed up elsewhere).
