Lunar Eclipse Blamed For String Of Gruesome Murders
SEATTLE -- (API) -- A gruesome murder spree this morning has this city in
the grip of fear as police investigate at least ten decapitations of young
men and women.
Seattle police spokesmen said they are investigating the decapitations of
at least ten men and women in various locations in the city and suburban
area.
The headless bodies were found in alleys, parking lots, bus stops, and two
were found in residential backyards.
The victims ranged in age from 18 to 30 and all were found beheaded, but
police said they were unable to find the victims' heads at the crime
scenes. Police have begun a massive search for the missing heads.
"When we have a full moon, there's a sharp increase in crazy behaviour and
criminal acts," Jane Lampey, spokesperson for the Seattle Police
Department, told reporters. "But, this time we had a full lunar eclipse
happening and this may have tipped a psycho over the edge."
"We've never seen anything in the city's history like this horrible chain
of murders," she added.
Police believe only one person is responsible, but have not ruled out a
second killer at large.
Increased police patrols were evident this morning throughout the city
area, and residents were advised to stay inside and keep their doors and
windows locked.
