Malachy's 2nd last Pope (Peter the Roman is last) before the end of
times is known as the "Glory of the Olive"
As usual, a new pope will be elected from the current group of
cardinals.

"The Glory of the Olive. The Order of St. Benedict has said this Pope
will come from their order."
----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Church dedicated to St Francesca Romana, patron of motorists."
...."In the 14th century it became an abbey of the Olivetan
Benedictines. The Olivetans still serve the church."
...."The current titular priest of this church is H.E. *****Angelo
Cardinal Sodano****, who is also titular Bishop of Albano."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20050402/POPEMAIN02/TPInternational/TopStories
"For the past several days, according to Vatican officials, the most
important functions of the church have been taken over by ****Cardinal
Angelo Sodano****, the Pope's second-in-command,"
Mind you Sodano is 77 years old and only one of the last five popes was
that old, usually it's between 60 & 65 years old. Also usually they
elected an Italian Pope, they haven't elected any none Italian Pope for
over 400 years other than the current Polish Pope John Paul II.
If they were to elect only one of the "voting cardinals" whose also
Italian, near 60 & 65, and has sufficient years of experience as a
cardinal then the field of possible candidates becomes very very narrow
(including if he is an Italian Cardinal and priest of the order of
St-Benedectine's Glory of the Olives).
Even John Paul II had experience of 11 years as Cardinal and became
Pope at the age of 58. For some reason all of the current Italian
cardinals under 72 years of age have less than 2 years of experience as
cardinals?
So Angelo Sodano may very well become the next pope if the elected
needs to be Italian otherwise it would have to be a cardinal with only
a few years experience as the next Italian Pope?
Other Italian Cardinal candidates are:
Ennio Cardinal Antonelli (age 68)
Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone (age 70)
Attilio Cardinal Nicora (age 68)
Severino Cardinal Poletto (age 72)
Giovanni Battista Cardinal (age 71)
Angelo Cardinal Scola (age 63)***
Crescenzio Cardinal Sepe (age 62)*** and 4 yrs cardinal experience
Dionigi Cardinal Tettamanzi (age71)

I should add I hope Arinze does win since I have odds of 4-1 that he does!

This Malachy "prophecy" is so stupid, it's a wonder anyone believes it.
This "olive" thing could be postdicted to fit no matter who wins, either
by declaring it to mean their skin colour or the region they hail from.

This Malachy "prophecy" is so stupid, it's a wonder anyone believes it.
But that's what makes it so intriguing! If it's senseless (i.e. not
created by conscious thought) then it stands a good chance of being a
*real* prophecy, if such a thing is possible! ;)
This "olive" thing could be postdicted to fit no matter who wins, either
by declaring it to mean their skin colour or the region they hail from.
True, but to be meaningful it would have to be based on more than just a
geographical region, since Olive Trees are found throughout the
Mediterranean and Middle East regions.
Therefore the only thing that would make the phrase 'Gloria Olivae'
meaningful, would be if it had a Biblical context.
For instance, recall the 'olive pressing' house (The name Gethsemane
means the "olive-press" - Mount of Olives), where Jesus *sweats blood*,
prior to his betrayal and crucifixion! See Luke 22:39-44 & Matthew 26:36.
Only when *black* olives are pressed, do they release a juice that is
the same colour as blood. Also, in their unripened state, *green*, they
could not possibly follow-on from "De Labore Solis"!
Now, stupid it may well sound, but *you* know the rest, since you've
staked money on him (you fool, you!!)..

It's possible but it would make two instead one false prophecy and both
come from the church high priests....since the parish of St. Benedict
has also prophecised that the last pope would come from their order and
they are known as the "Olivetans".

Actually I presumed that Pope John Paul II, out of respect for
tradishon would have kept the largest percentage as Italian cardinals
as before he was elected but to the contrary they say there is now only
1 out of 6 cardinals that is Italian.

It's possible they elect one other than Italian if they strictly go buy
years of experience as cardinal. But other than John Paul II it's been
over 400 years they kept electing an Italian Pope.
This is the end of times and thus also perhaps "bad" judgement is
needed in order for the church to be in calamnity/sin. And depending
how conservative versus liberal they've become in their judgement and
adhesion to the testament. As they vote they'll be screening past
achievements of each cardinal including each one's position on gay,
abortion, etc... issues. Some cardinals want to permit divorced priests
back into the church where as divorce is considered a sin for Catholics
let alone priests.

In that case, I hope they vote for "Popeye and Olive oil" ;)

My mistake. According to Malachy these are the last of the Popesa and
the end of times.
Thank you for being so ponctual.

But this can't POSSIBLY be the 'end times' according to the Bible,
which I'd believe LONG before I'd put my trust in a dubious list of Popes.

A little too brief. Do you have any web links to back your claim or
other evidence?
