I think they should colorize the mars pics, don't you?
I'm tired of the same old 'sepia' effect.

Yes. They do not want us to know that there is a blue sky. I know of a
website that will correct the photos, but the site has not come out
with them yet. They plan on a high level meetings to discuss these
matters of original film production. NASA is not dumb, they will not
let a raw picture be placed up that they have not OK'd for mass
consumption. Do you remember the live scuttle (Broadcasts in the 80s
on cable) 'earth cam' and the fast moving objects that flew by and
the astronauts commenting "what is that." Form that day onward there
are 2-3 minuet scanning of raw film before it is fed to the public
servers. Anything funny going on and it gets filled to the secret
file.

That too.

They used to allow photos to be displayed live on TV as they came in. This was
way back during the early Apollo missions. Walter Cronkite was really psyched
about the space program, and had the photos coming in live during at least one
(semi-memorable) set.
Anyway, along comes a couple of photos with what looked like something where
there wasn't supposed to be anything, and then the feed stopped. Uncle Walter
had one of the (earlier?) astronauts with him, and they started talking about
what had been in the photos. My folks quickly switched to a network that had a
delay thing going on with the photos, and the photos on that station stopped
just before the whatever-they-were showed up.
Have never seen live photos come in from anything not pointing at Earth since
then,

Mike and Woods,
So what did they see out there?
I'm sure I either read or heard that one of the astronauts mentioned it
in a book.
Where was I? hmmm...
I think I was in kindergarten at the time and barely remember the event
and really couldn't fathom at that age how important it was.
I just thought it was strange that the teacher brought in her tv set and
I don't remember if it was the moonwalk or the landing back on earth
that we watched.
I'm sure we all lost interest with a quickness when we saw it wasn't the
"Romper Room" show.
If anybody knows any info on what was supposedly seen or about
de-classification of any documents in the future......please *do* tell!
