Ebay was my OLD addiction...be careful, I got carried away. I mostly
shopped for antiques, especially Beleek and other types of
china/silver/depression glass (which I am strangely addicted to...four full
sets of dishes and counting...)
Anyway, my husband noticed all the empty packaging (if not the items
themselves; he doesn't pay much attention to that stuff) and we had a little
tiff about it and I decided he was right, I was spending too much.
Now HE goes on Ebay more than I do!

I'm addicted to fresh blueberries and passionfruit nectar.
I'm also addicted to morphine sulfate 15 mgs 24/7 - for
the rest of my life by prescription of course ---I might
add.
In my spare time - I'm trying to develop a solar pack to
keep my Hoveround chair battery charged all the time.
Then I can go any where at any time and never have to
worry about getting stranded without a recharge plugin
option.
See:
www.apple2.org.za/gswv/me/
It's all good even the spider.
If you take the time to browse and view the graphics folder in total
content you will see some of the things in the past that I sold on
Ebay. :)
As for Ebay -- well, I never buy anything from Ebay but,
I do sell stuff on Ebay from time to time when I grow
tired of some of my rare items of value just sitting around
as one-of-a-kind jewels collecting dust and such.

Hmmm ... books were my bad spell ... Chapters.ca and amazon.ca ... good
prices for technical reference books ( almost 30% off shelf prices ).

Have you noticed the price of stuff at garage sales for stuff like that
being much higher where you are than it was pre-ebay? Now I'm seeing
small depressionware items for $10, where they used to be 50 cents to $1.

I took my kids to the 2nd hand store in our neighboring little town ...
for $1.75 my kids and I bought 3 shirts, a handbag, and canvas backpack
( a reallly cool greenish colour ) and a 160 in One Electronics "lab"
kit .... then for $20 at the other 2nd hand store a 5-speed bike for my
youngest ( still in really good shape ) and a Casio portable keyboard
for the oldest. Great fun was had by all.

2nd hand stores are great! I bought a lot of son's baby stuff at such
stores...especially stuff like Oshkosh that is so expensive to buy new, yet
could be had for a couple bucks "like new".

Wow - lucky you!! The only second hand type shops around me are
Salvation Army stores, and they want awfully high prices for stuff they
get for free. Last time I was in one, about 8 years ago, they wanted
$10 for a used pair of jeans and $5+up for used shirts.

Yeah, I can see why he goes on a lot.. it is *very* addicting. God
knows I'm into it now. There's also that excitement bidding against
someone, waiting to see if you won. I don't know if you felt that
way while you were active there - but it gives me a sorta "high"
I suppose - hence "addiction" ..
'Think I'll start selling soon also.

Ahhh.. nothing here is on-topic. In fact, if someone was to
(miraculously) post on-topic - I bet there's lurkers/newbies

*off* topic .. LOL!
Oh by the way - wonder why you didn't call Tony's new

But since you're concerned - nothing is stopping *you* from posting

I shop there in the winter. Once it's time to start ordering from the
seed/nursery catalogs, I don't bother going there. Depending on what
you're shopping for, you can get some excellent bargains. You probably
find a lot of really good clothing and shoes, yes? I've gotten some
great deals on shoes, but I'm not big on buying clothes. I do buy stuff
for my daughter, petite size 2, which not many people bid on, so I get
good deals. (She won't be for long - she and her husband have just
found out they're expecting their first child! :-)
Also, if you've never worn one, look for a salwar kameez - they are
sooooo comfortable for loungewear!

Ebay!
Does anyone else here shop/sell at ebay?
I shop there in the winter. Once it's time to start ordering from the
seed/nursery catalogs, I don't bother going there. Depending on what
you're shopping for, you can get some excellent bargains. You probably
find a lot of really good clothing and shoes, yes?
Yes, very good clothes and very good shoes at an awesome discount.
I got a pair of shoes that retail $125.00 for only $46.00.. and they
were brand new in the box. I also got the Victorias secret "Heavenly"
body lotion (which I would recommend to all women here) that retails
for $20.00 for only $7.99. So, I've gotten some really good deals so
far.
I'm also like you in the sense that I don't like malls either. I much
prefer shopping online.
I've gotten some
great deals on shoes, but I'm not big on buying clothes.
I am an absolute shoe *nut* - I've lost count of how many pairs
I have :/
I do buy stuff
for my daughter, petite size 2, which not many people bid on, so I get
good deals. (She won't be for long - she and her husband have just
found out they're expecting their first child! :-)
OMG!!! Congratulations, Woods! .. :) You must be thrilled. Wow,
that really is good news. You'll be buying little baby clothes now!
Also, if you've never worn one, look for a salwar kameez - they are
sooooo comfortable for loungewear!
Thanks.. I looked that up on ebay and they *do* look comfy.
(A new baby!!! :)

I got a pair of $500+ shoes for only $20. Super good deal.

Yeppers - I've already started looking, and it's at least 7 months away.
Bad me! :-)

You wouldn't believe how comfy - but check the fabric they're made out
of prior to bidding. Some of them have less breathable fabric than
others, or are extremely sheer.
