To answer your question Judy.. it wouldn't take a 16th century
medical doctor much insight or any great leap of faith to determine
there will be crazies who like to kill other people.. as for specifics,
well, that's where old nosty gets *really* bad, as he seems to have
written volumes of books but he can't get a single prediction correct,
and I have to admit, if I went into sleep-deprived, drug-induced states
of altered consciousness, I might write cryptic verses as well, which
some might hail as having some predictive content, but which would
ultimately be little more than the scriblings of a madman.

Nostradamus only comes up anymore when someone wants to postdict a

The Welles narrated one is perhaps the most famous that perioodically
resurfaces. Certainly, Shakespearean heavyweight (in more ways than one!)
Orson's great voice and dramatic delivery helped propel that documentary
to more notoreity than it perhaps deserved. Yep, there were, I think, just
one or two others that made it to the theater circuit -- one was a short
feature made in the 40s. The rest were TV or video-only productions, and
there have been at least several of those over the decades.
Our parttime resident and Nosty author-exegist, Jean Guernon, from
Montreal, Ont., is the monk--er, man, to ask about all things Nostradamus.
He pops in and out of here, usually to attack me and several other lib
regulars. He's right wing, so there's a noticeable political bias in his
interpretations of the quatrains.

Says welcome;
There are quite a few, but finding them might be problematic, most
though are quite Sensationalist, and try to cobble mainly Biblical
prophecies to Nostradamus.
But as in the printed matter there are not many scholars that have
attempted the works, those that have done quite a reasonable job, but
still miss his basic message.
Then of course there are some bios on Nostie The Wilson, Mesurier ones
would probably have the best research.
