THE UPCOMING VOTE for John Bolton to become ambassador
to the perniciously corrupt United Nations is sure to
be fiercely divided across party lines. While liberals
have threatened to use up their procedural delays, and
ultimately to filibuster, then to shut down the Senate
altogether, our so-called "nuclear" option is going to
entirely undermine and circumvent all liberal attempts
to destroy the Bush administration and the Republicans
and Independents who support him. So be sure to spread
the word quickly, and let's trigger the NUCLEAR option!
As for the Pentagon's recently announced base closings,
let's oppose the closings or downsizings ONLY in those
counties which voted *RED* on Tuesday November 2, 2004.
By contrast let's support the closings in counties who
voted *BLUE* in the aforesaid election. This will help
to support the REDDER counties while hurting BLUER ones:

For example, Ellsworth Air Force Base, which is located
seven miles east of Rapid City in Meade County, SD, has
consistently voted Republican, thus earns consideration
for NOT closing the base. However, Dyess Air Force Base
just southwest of Abilene, Taylor County TX, also votes
Republican, and would absorb much of Ellsworth's assets
and military personnel. Cannon Air Force Base, in Curry
County, NM, votes Republican, so deserves consideration.
Fort Bliss, six miles west of Clovis, El Paso County TX,
votes Republican, and will benefit greatly from closing
bases elsewhere in Democrat-voting counties of the USA,
as will the Republican-voting Naval Shipyard in Norfolk,
Norfolk County, VA; albeit--forsooth--Andrews Air Force
Base in Camp Springs, MD, is located in Prince George's
County which votes Democrat...fortunately, the majority
of our military votes Republican, to balance things out
as the base gets bigger, thus Republicans grow stronger.
For example, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on an island
in Kittery ME, York County in which it resides has voted
Democrat, so should be shut down completely. All military
personnel will be relocated to other bases, but civilian
population would for the best part be OUT OF A JOB. This
is happy news for Republicans and bad news for Democrats,
and that's GOOD enough reason to shut this shipyard down.
But the Naval Station in Pascagoula, Jackson County, MS
votes Republican, and is expected to be closed. Thus, we
should urge the Pentagon to reconsider closing this base.
Republicans need to go over the Pentagon's proposed plan
with a fine-toothed comb, and focus on helping Republican
*RED* counties whilst hurting the losing *BLUE* counties.
