That's it.
It's common knowledge now that Iraq never attempted to buy uranium,
was not working with or supporting Al Qaeda, that all human
intelligence relating to Iraq's alleged WMD programs came from a
single source (Curveball) ... all this we found out *later* but that
the Bush Administration was fully aware of when this press conference

Bush and Cheney are criminals and need to be dealt with as such. They

Well stevie, it's sort of like blaming the Jews for being scape-goated
in nazi germany. The Jews weren't entirely without responsibility.. they
WERE taking jobs that otherwise might have gone to 'pure-blood' Germans,
and they DID choose to be in Germany at that time, but to BLAME them
for becoming scape-goats ? I don't know.. that's a real stretch.
Your thinking is twisted stevie. You are wishing you could

Decisions like that don't get made in a vacuum stevie. The
propaganda at the time being spread by the likes of Cheney,
Feith, Rumsfeld, Condi, was well known to all. They were
dedicated to a war with Iraq and were actively suppressing

Instead of seeing the larger truth, you have myopically chosen

You're a fool stevie. I'll bet most of your old republican

Oddly enough, it is you who has changed the subject. I responded to
his statement with a pertinent question. It seems many posters here
are anxious to give a pass to those Democrats who voted to authorize
the use of military force in Iraq. Well, the legislative branch in our
government is co-equal (in terms of power) to the executive branch. So
to dismiss their role in the Iraq war is dishonest.

I think that's what you just did in your reply to me, isn't it? I

This is where your logic fails. The word, 'pertinant'. Your question
was a side-step. It was not pertinant to the premis Mondo propounded.
His comment is either true, or it is false.
You ignored it, and asked a generalisation..a simplistic question

***** off watching us argue with his AI dialog program
It's a bit like discussing a simple issue with a brick wall Randy.
You didn't even try to discuss the actual issue before changing the
subject to me. Even Randie acknowledged that the issue had become me.
I didn't make me the issue, but you certainly did.

The issue didn't 'become' you, it always WAS you stevie.
We're all trying to figure out which is more productive..
arguing with you, or having discussion with a piece of lettuce.

Oddly enough, it is you who has changed the subject. I responded to
his statement with a pertinent question.
This is where your logic fails. The word, 'pertinant'. Your question
was a side-step. It was not pertinant to the premis Mondo propounded.
It was far more pertinent than this diversion you've put us on.
His comment is either true, or it is false.
It is false. Which is why I asked my pertinent question. The
legislative branch has a responsibility that is exactly equal to the
executive branch (as well as the judicial branch).
You ignored it, and asked a generalisation..a simplistic question
about authority instead of either agreeing or disagreeing.
My question implied disagreement, don't you think?
I change no subject.
Yes you did. You decided to make me the issue.
I read the post from Mondo, read your reply and
posted accordingly. That the thread has taken a number of twists is
neither here nor there. I point out your inability to be direct. It
matters not if that is the initial topic or otherwise.
I was direct. My question *was* pertinent, and this diversion you
initiated is pointless.

Now Steven. This is a good example of why people find
you...disagreeable.
Mondo poined out a fairly evident fact. Rather than answer that fact,
you respond with a question that deflects from the issue discussed,
and asks something else of the poster. You should, of course, respond
to his question, not pose a veiled rebuttal.
Oddly enough, it's a habit, a trait I have found amongst Godly people
fairly often. It must come from years of deflecting direct questions,
years of answering in parables.

People find it disagreeable because it's dishonest, in a sneaky way - as
opposed to being dishonest in a straightforward way, like completely
making stuff up.

I would agree with this for the most part, but what stevie is
doing goes beyond just deflecting a question by changing the
subject. His logic is simply flawed and hence he is stating a
falsehood. He is implying the democratic congressmen were a
causal factor in the push for war, which they clearly were not.
They relied on intelligence gathered and provided by the bush
administration to make their decision. The Congress were played..
they were pawns in the Bush agenda.
