Caley I. Powell: Kohl appears willing to go to war with Iran

Dear Editor: I am extremely upset -- no, outraged is more accurate --
with Sen. Herb Kohl for his support of the Lieberman Iran resolution
suggesting that Iran is responsible for the deaths of American
soldiers in Iraq. This is a blatant attempt to provide cover to
President Bush and Vice President Cheney for an attack on Iran that
would lead to World War III.
We are no longer cavemen and need to realize and practice the more
mature ways of resolving problems. Kohl needs to support the truth,
not the Bush administration lies perpetrated by Cheney and his
cronies.
Lieberman's agenda demonstrates again that his main allegiance is not
to this nation but to the American Zionist agenda and those in Israel
and the U.S. who want to promote instability in the Middle East to
have the U.S. attack Iran on behalf of the Israeli military.
By backing the Lieberman anti-Iran resolution, Kohl has indicated that
he is not really for peace in the Middle East and that he is subject
to undue influence by American Zionist extremists who want to push
this country into war with Iran.
Is that his position? As his constituent, I request a clear and public
written statement. Specifically, will he please now commit to actively
and publicly opposing any military attacks by the U.S. -- including
CIA and other covert actions -- against Iran?
