That's a suprising, and simplistic response, Jane.
It's also an extremely impractical suggestion. If one fails to read the
headline subject line....How is one to know whether or not to continue
in that thread?
I would have thought you to have been above such a perfunctory answer.
If that particular expression forms part of your normal speech, then
perhaps not.

I can tolerate any invective...it's just a 'thing' I have about that
expression. A little like coming across a rabid dog, or a huge black
rat. It makes me cringe inwardly.
I am glad it doesn't form a normal part of your vocabulary.
