Hey brother, do you know anything about the "Phoenix lights" that caused
such an uproar about ten years ago? I saw video of this large dark object
supposedly gliding over Phoenix and environs. The "authorities" are calling
them target flares at the Goldwater Gunnery Range. Wonder why this only
seems to be an issue every ten years or so.

Lemme thimk... lights in the sky over Phoenix, big Vee formation, ***** poor
video of the event, nothing to scale distance or altitude. Probably helicopters
in formation with the landing lights on. Get high enough and even helos can't be
heard from the ground. There are a lot of MOAs in Arizona, wierd ***** flies
there all the time. The human brain can play tricks on you, making something out
of nothing to solve conflicts in sensory input. I'm still waiting for good
in-focus video or stills of these UFOs. You'd think with the level of technology
we have access to, we'd have some good footage by now. I'd love to be convinced,
but my eyes have lied to me in the past, so I need to 'see the bones' first.
One thing I'm sure of, they weren't flares. Flares don't maintain altitude.

Thanks, Charly.
I remember seeing the video of this "big beast" supposedly taken by
different cameras in the Phoenix area. Pretty interesting all in all. I
don't have any expertise on aircraft and such. Generally take all these
things in stride and will continue to until some little bugger comes up and
asks me where the nearest pay phone is.
"Flairs don't maintain attitude". I kinda figured that. So I wondered why
the government would say they were flares. They wouldn't give us a BS line
would they? You'd think it would be obvious to anyone that saw lights
maintain altitude that these things wouldn't be flares. How stupid do they
think we are and why would they obviously lie? :-) They must be chuckling
under their breath until the AC makes it official.
