Okay ladies,
If you really like a man, but he doesn't have any money would you
still date him?
If you really like a man, his personality is great but he isn't very
good-looking would you still date him?
Just how important are looks?
Just how important is romance?
Do you like hard-asses, or guys with a soft side? Do you find a soft
side as "whimpy" or an honorable attribute?
If he was wonderful to you when the two of you were alone, but acted
differently around his friends to not appear "whipped" over you, would
you find that a complete turn off and dump him?
Do you think it's possible to have an on-line relationship and fall in
love with him solely through your on-line communication?
And say you had this on-line relationship for say...a year without
seeing him, not a picture.. nothing. One day you meet and he is
unnattractive but you have grown to *really* have strong feelings
for him during that year - do the looks negate the feelings? Do
you dump him?
How much more important is love compared to looks?
Thanks in advance for answering.

of course
If you really like a man, his personality is great but he isn't very

yes
Just how important are looks?
for first impressions, say in a club where you are meeting for the first
time, they are important
Just how important is romance?
At first not much, you are out to have fun and get to know each other.
A few months in, it becomes more important as you become more important to
each other.
But after time (years) it is unrealistic to expect flowers once a week (so
forth).
Still important though, hubby and I still sit together to eat a special meal
over a candle once a month, be it at a restaurant or at home (lots of kids)
Do you like hard-asses, or guys with a soft side? Do you find a soft
side as "whimpy" or an honorable attribute?
mix
If he was wonderful to you when the two of you were alone, but acted
differently around his friends to not appear "whipped" over you, would
you find that a complete turn off and dump him?
Drop him like a hot rock
Do you think it's possible to have an on-line relationship and fall in
love with him solely through your on-line communication?
with his mind maybe, but there is a hell of a lot more to love than that, so
no
And say you had this on-line relationship for say...a year without
seeing him, not a picture.. nothing. One day you meet and he is
unnattractive but you have grown to *really* have strong feelings
for him during that year - do the looks negate the feelings? Do
you dump him?
If when you look at him you think he looks bad then it is not love and he
becomes a friend you care about
How much more important is love compared to looks?
Love is a package, love, looks, smell, touch, respect, conversation, anger,
hate, passion, worry, joy etc.
When you can experience all of them with a person in one day and still get
up in the morning and smile at each other....
You KNOW you have it....LOVE
me for example
P and I met in 1990, I was not that interested (he was) and my friends kept
egging me on "he looks like Mel Gibson, are you mad!" so we went out and he
was sooo funny, we went out more and more often and here we are 2005 and
better than ever!
Now the point of this example is that he went for a haircut the other day,
when he came home it was one of those "BLINK"
am I seeing right "BLINK" moments, Shaved ...SHAVED, I married Mel Gibson
and suddenly I am married to Shrek, my face said it all, as did his, he was
as horrified as me, little bit of WTF, little bit of its MY HEAD blah blah
then a bit of a snigger and finally laughing.
I would not be without him for the world :-)
Linda
(and it is already growing back)

Looks may get you interested in someone will fade instantly if something
else doesn't check out. Circumstances and situations also play a role in
whether you find someone attractive or not. If you know someone from work,
you may feel differently than if you met the same person in a club. Also, it's
possible to become attracted to someone even though you were not attracted
to them at first and visa versa. In the long run it totally boils down to
how you "feel" about the person. If it doesn't feel right, it doesn't feel
right. There are no ifs or buts!
Also, I don't believe it's possible to fall in love with someone on-line.
There are too many other factors that determine the 'chemistry'. If you
find yourself attracted to someone that you haven't met, you are not
attracted to that person. What you are attracted to is *YOUR FANTACY* of
what you think this person is. It's important to know the difference.

That's easy in this Day /Age to explain:
Women will always 'levitate' to the successful man for 'stability'',
But that's not necessarily the only 'man' she's share the sheets with !!!
Modern Day women are still looking for the 'Gene Perfect' male to sire their 'offspring'.
Women are 85% more likely to 'cheat' based on 'Gene Pooling' then Men are (lately).
After all, men are just looking for 'something different' without the 'emotional' attachment
(when they "cheat") !!!
If women where less 'Uptight' about 'settling' for their mate, then maybe men would be less
likely to 'cheat' !!!
Just A Thought For You LADY Folk !!!

Okay ladies,
If you really like a man, but he doesn't have any money would you
still date him?
Assuming I was still dating (for all the answers):
Sure. In fact, almost nobody I ever dated had money (college). Well, I
don't think they did. I really didn't pay enough attention to know if
they had money or not, actually.
If you really like a man, his personality is great but he isn't very
good-looking would you still date him?
Sure, so long as he keeps himself up somewhat. (Except, if he's got
"coiffed" hair, no.way).
Just how important are looks?
They aren't. It's mostly upkeep of themselves (wash regularly, take
care of their teeth/breath, wear clean clothes to work, etc.)
Just how important is romance?
LOL! When I was young that was very important to me, but I ended up
with an engineer without a romantic bone in his body. Now it's not
important in the slightest. :-D
Do you like hard-asses, or guys with a soft side? Do you find a soft
side as "whimpy" or an honorable attribute?
Tenderness is an honorable attribute, hard-asses are jerks.
If he was wonderful to you when the two of you were alone, but acted
differently around his friends to not appear "whipped" over you, would
you find that a complete turn off and dump him?
If the reason was because he didn't want to appear "whipped", of course.
If the reason was something else, depends. Most people do act
differently with family, friends, relatives, co-workers.
Do you think it's possible to have an on-line relationship and fall in
love with him solely through your on-line communication?
I guess so, my daughter has been married for 2 years to someone she fell
in love with online (and lots of phone calls).
And say you had this on-line relationship for say...a year without
seeing him, not a picture.. nothing. One day you meet and he is
unnattractive but you have grown to *really* have strong feelings
for him during that year - do the looks negate the feelings? Do
you dump him?
Assuming that the online/phone persona was accurate, no. What kind of a
stupid reason would that be to dump someone, just looks?!?
How much more important is love compared to looks?
Love is important and looks aren't - there is no "more" about it.
Thanks in advance for answering.
No prob.
