Visoko, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AHN) - Bosnian archaeologist Semir
Osmanagic, who has found hidden pyramids in the hills of El Salvador,
Mexico and Peru, may have discovered another one outside Visoko, a town
about 20 miles northwest of the capital, Sarajevo.
"It has all the elements: four perfectly shaped slopes pointing toward
the cardinal points, a flat top and an entrance complex," he says to
the Associated Press.
There are no known pyramids in Europe.
Osmanagic, a scientist who has spent the last 15 years closely studying
various pyramids throughout Latin America, says there is probably one
in this Balkan town.
"We have already dug out stone blocks which I believe are covering the
pyramid," he says. "We found a paved entrance plateau and discovered
underground tunnels. You don't have to be an expert to realize what
this is."
