Church...[His] prophecy concerning a future American civil war comes
from _Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses_ vol.20, pp151-152, 9 March
1879.

Houge gives us an excerpt from this on pg.149 in his book "Millineun
Book of Prophecy"

"What then will be the condition of that people when this great and
terrible [civil] war shall come? It will be very different fom the war
between the North and South [in America]... it will be a war of
neighborhood against neighborhood, city against city, town against
town,
country against country, state against state, and they [who are
"they"?
-my question] will go forth destroying, and being destroyed and
manafacturing will, in great measure, cease for a time, amoung the
American nation."

as a
city on a hill - whose light also may be cut off from
