Public Security Minister Avi Dichter said yesterday that Jews were
forbidden to pray overtly at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. This fly's
in the face of promises of Prime Minister Olmert that the old city and
the holy sites would not be given up. It is a insult to religious
freedom in Israel for Jews to be prevented from praying at one of the
holiest sites in Judaism.

Is overtly praying characterized by convulsive bending as if one were being
jolted by magneto hooked to their testicles and a probe up their rectum

Hooroo to ban on sales of goods made from roo leather

AUSTRALIA can export kangaroo products to California after a ban on
the sale of goods made from the marsupial's leather was overturned
yesterday.
The new law allows the importation of products from non-endangered
kangaroo species after a long legal battle between animal rights
groups and sporting giant Adidas.
Kangaroo hide is used to make sports footwear worn by professional
athletes, including the soccer boots made popular by former England
captain David Beckham.
Adidas is the biggest retail customer of kangaroo leather, using the
hides to make the popular Predator cleats, which soccer players say
are lighter than other brands.
Beckham, who plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy, has worn Predator for
several years as part of a multi-million dollar endorsement deal.
In 2005, Beckham announced his Predators would be made of synthetic
leather after a public outcry.
In 1971, California banned the sale of products made from kangaroos
and a host of other animals threatened with extinction.
In 1995, after the Australian Government said the kangaroo populations
had recovered, the US federal Fish and Wildlife Agency removed the
animals from its threatened list and allowed the importation of
kangaroo leather.
In 2003, legislation was introduced to repeal the kangaroo ban after
Adidas spent at least $530,000 lobbying to allow the importation of
kangaroo products.
